A great few days at the AFK Colloquium 2026 in Leipzig!

This year, our Chair of International Relations and Transnational Politics at Leipzig University had the pleasure of hosting the annual colloquium of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung (AFK). Over three days, scholars from across the field came together to discuss current research in peace and conflict studies, exchange ideas, and strengthen academic networks. Many members of our chair contributed to the program with presentations and discussions. We were also delighted to welcome participants of the AFK Global South Fellowship, which supports international exchange and collaboration in the field.

A huge thank you to the AFK organizers for the inspiring program and excellent cooperation! Also special thanks to our colleague Julia Leib, who was part of the organizing team and helped make the conference possible.

And special thanks to Selina Menneck for capturing these moments! 📸
