GEMEINSAM FÜR DEN GUTEN ZWECK:

BENEFIZKONZERT AN DER FABW

Die Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg lädt am Samstag, dem 9. Dezember 2023, ab 19 Uhr zu einem Benefizkonzert in das Albrecht Ade Studio ein. Studierende und Alumni präsentieren gemeinsam mit dem Musiker Perschya „Persch“ Chehrazi einen vielseitigen musikalischen Abend von Filmmusik und Klassik über Pop bis hin zu Jazz. Die Spendenerlöse gehen an die Deutsche Sarkom-Stiftung sowie den Verein Weiterleben. Persch, Student der Abteilung Filmton & Sounddesign, ist selbst Sarkom-Patient und an dieser seltenen Krebsart erkrankt.

Der Einlass beginnt um 18:30 Uhr. Für den Zugang zum Konzert bittet das studentische Team an der Abendkasse um einen Spendengrundbetrag von 5 Euro. Es gilt: First come, first served. Im Ade Studio können an diesem Abend bis zu 350 Personen zugelassen werden. Aufgrund des Sicherheitskonzepts können keine Sitzplätze angeboten werden. Für Getränke sorgt die Bar "Thilda" direkt gegenüber dem Ade Studio auf dem Akademiehof.

We are so proud of our students and what they achieved during their time with us! Keep in mind, this is the class that had to go through a world pandemic during their studies. So to graduate against the odds and with such a level of excellence was truly incredible! Congratulations to the class of 2023 on your achievement and good luck on your next chapter in life as sound professionals!

Who better to teach microphone techniques than Mr. Microphone himself, Dr. Helmut Wittek Co-CEO of SCHOEPS Mikrofone!

Helmut joined the world-famous Tölz Boys' Choir at the age of 6 and has performed as a soloist in numerous concerts and CD productions. He later became a singing teacher there before studying musicology at the LMU Munich.

From 1996 he studied audio and video technology at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and Robert Schumann University and graduated with a Dipl.-Ing. In 1999.

He is a guest lecturer on the subjects of recording technology, microphone technology and 3D audio.

We continue our series "Meet your instructor" with Alexander Buck. Born in the south of Germany, he studied sound engineering at the Institute for Music and Media, Düsseldorf.

He's been a freelance sound designer for tv and cinema film productions since 2004.

He worked on the german oscar nominated film "All quiet on the western front" for which the sound team has received several awards. In our department, Alexander teaches dialogue editing.

Today we start our series "Meet your instructor". Lioba Reuter began her training at FFS Film- & Fernsehsynchron GmbH in 2006 as a synchronous cutter.

After a 2-year job-stopover in the Cologne dubbing company Splendid Synchron, she has now returned to the origins of her work in Munich and is responsible for the dubbing of numerous series and cinema productions at FFS.

Since 2012 she has been supervising the dubbing workshop at the film academy together with dubbing director Solveig Duda.

Yesterday was a day to meet new candidates that want to join our sound department. Once again, the jury was not disappointed! Lots of talented bright minds that are eager to come and learn the beautiful art of film sound and sound design. We can't wait to send out acceptance letters and welcome the new students in the fall!
