From first idea to real start up: Mannheims Innovation Ecosystem
As part of our Academia Meets Business lecture series, we were pleased to welcome Eva-Maria Markutzik from MAFINEX for our second talk at TH Mannheim. She provided students with insights into Mannheim’s startup ecosystem and the support available to people looking to turn their ideas into businesses.
A key focus was MAFINEX and its range of opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs, including affordable workspaces, meeting rooms, co-working areas and workshops. By bringing together people from different backgrounds and stages of business development, MAFINEX encourages collaboration, knowledge-sharing and learning from more experienced teams.
The presentation also highlighted the importance of building a strong community. Regular networking sessions, meetups and after-work events give entrepreneurs the opportunity to exchange ideas and establish new connections.
Following the presentation, students took part in a discussion with Eva-Maria Markutzik and Marc Reisner, Project Manager Entrepreneurship. This provided an opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and explore the topics covered in greater depth.
Thank you to Eva-Maria and Marc for the valuable insights and engaging discussion! 🙌
