Semester Opening 2026 🎓

A new semester, new faces and a new chapter at Munich Business School! 💙🎓

At our Semester Opening 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming our new students and exchange students to the MBS community.

Our Dean Prof. Dr. Stefan Baldi, Chancellor Dr. Christine Menges and President Jörg Schwitalla gave our new students a warm welcome and some inspiring words for the journey ahead.

Afterwards, it was time to connect, meet new people and celebrate the start of the semester together with food, drinks and a get-together. 🥂

To all our new students: Welcome to MBS! We’re excited to have you here and can’t wait to see where this new chapter takes you. 🚀

✨ From MBS student to founder and lecturer: Meet our alumna Dr. Julia Riedmeier.

Since 2010, she has built a career in luxury. After graduating with a Master’s in International Business in 2015, Dr. Julia Riedmeier continued to combine her passion and expertise for luxury with entrepreneurship, research, and education.

One course was particularly impactful for her journey: During Prof. Dr. Schmidkonz’s “Successfactor Happiness” course, she worked with a model that helped her develop a clear vision for her future.

After graduating, she worked on various strategic projects and began teaching in the field of luxury near Frankfurt in 2016. Since then, teaching has always accompanied her project work. In 2019, she became module leader for the Luxury Management specialization at MBS, and in 2020, she began teaching in Monaco while pursuing her doctorate.

In 2021, she founded Code \ Luxe, a strategy studio that advises and educates international companies and founders on brand strategy, client experience, luxury trends, and related topics.
Today, as founder of Code \ Luxe and a lecturer in Luxury Management, she connects two worlds that continuously enrich each other: business and academia.

In first-year Microeconomics and Macroeconomics classes in the MBS Bachelor International Business program, each lecture begins with an interactive Kahoot session.
