Recap from Festival Junger Tanz „Licensed to Dance” 2026

We are still not over it! So let’s go back in time and revisit this special evening.

Registrations for the Summer school are open now!

If you want to spend your summer days in the studio learning, growing and dancing with people from all around the world, book your spot!

The Iwanson Summer School is one of the biggest summer schools in Germany. It is suitable as further education for young dance teachers, as preparation for a contemporary dance education but also as a dance–orientated summer for teenagers from 14 years on and adults.

The day consists of three training sessions: Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance and Jazz Dance. The summer school has 4 individual weeks (courses 1, 2, 3,4) - The courses can be booked at a reduced package price.

Lessons take place Mondays to Fridays, starting at 10.30 and ending at 15:00.

We cannot wait to see you there!

Festival Junger Tanz 2026 is around the corner!

“Cold Pressure Task” by Lucas Valente

The piece investigates what happens when the body reaches its physical limits. Investigates what happens inside the mind that at times refuses to accept it, and at times just gives up
Pain is a solitary experience, and yet it is the one of the most universal traits we share as humans: we all experience pain.
During painful experiences, our perception of time becomes unstable: it stretches and compresses. Minutes and seconds become hours, days become seconds… the choreography investigates time as a perception rather than a measure.
