Commitment Shapes – Be Engaged

The EBS Cheerleading Team is one of our solely student-run sports associations and takes part in various competitions all throughout Germany. It is ranked among the top university teams, thanks to the exceptional commitment and effort in planning and training shown by the captains and members.

The Dies Academicus takes place for the first time in 2019 and was invented to honor and recognize great performance and achievements of distinguished members of our EBS family. It will serve as a perfect opportunity to celebrate our unique . Invited students, alumni, faculty and staff members will celebrate the Dies Academicus with a gala dinner and the grand awards ceremony, where the following prices will be handed over:

The student body annually awards the Excellence Award in the categories “classroom excellence” and “service excellence”. Until 2019, these were only awarded at the Business School. Starting this year, the prizes will also be awarded at the Law School.

Please nominate at least one candidate for each category that you believe is the best person to receive the Excellence Award. You are able to nominate lecturers and service staff until 22.03.2019.

Together with all congress leaders of EBS Universität, those of EBS Symposium e.V., EBSpreneurship, EBS Immobilienkongress, Law Congress and the student representatives we had dinner yesterday evening. We are very excited about the great upcoming congresses and are working together to ensure that each of them will be an absolute success. 💙

This fall term’s general assembly was all about the . We were happy to look back on three successful congresses at EBS Universität: EBS Symposium e.V., EBSpreneurship and EBS Law Congress.
Last but not least, the EBS Sport Ressort team could hand over the trophies from this years euromasters.
Finally, the student representative team has changed. Max Birkelbach and Anne-Sophie Klein (1. Semester BS), Shahwan Borto and Jonas Barthle (1. and 2. year LS), and Felix Dittmann and Janik Dienst (5. Semester BS) will represent the student body from now on. We will introduce them in more detail at a later point.
We were also very blessed that our president Prof. Ogorek and our chancellor Prof. Sander gave a welcoming address at the beginning. Both are looking forward to strengthen their direct communication to us students and are looking forward to listen to our ideas and stories.

The Student Representative Retreat (SRR) took place in the historical city Weimar this year. We as Student Representatives discussed together with our president Markus Ogorek, our chancellor Julia Sander, the Vice Dean of Education Christian Landau and our Programme Management as well as with our Alumni the status quo of the student body and its ressorts and our university. The first steps are done, but our primary goal is to strengthen and improve communication.

We thank all participants for the active engagement, the interesting weekend and are looking forward to next years SRR!
