Get ready for an unforgettable evening under the lights! We’re heading to the Rheinkirmes in Düsseldorf — one of the largest and most iconic traditional folk festivals in all of Germany 🎢

But here’s a fun fact many don’t know: Rheinkirmes isn’t just a funfair 🎪 It actually celebrates two special occasions — the feast of Düsseldorf’s patron saint, Apollinaris of Ravenna, and the Kirchweihfest, the religious festival of the Catholic Basilica of St. Lambertus ⛪️ A beautiful mix of tradition, culture, and pure entertainment, all in one night.

From thrilling roller coasters and towering drop rides 🎢 to cozy fun houses, classic fair games, and delicious local food 🍕🍦 — there’s something for everyone. And the best part? The evening closes with a spectacular drone show and fireworks display starting at 22:15, glowing beautifully over the Rhine promenade 🚁🎇

📍 Meeting point: Remagen Bahnhof
📅 Date: Friday, 24 July 2026
⏰ Meeting time: 16:30 sharp — train departs at 16:44, so don’t be late!
💶 Estimated personal costs: food, drinks & rides (optional)

🗓 Quick plan:
🚆 16:44 – Depart from Remagen
🎡 18:30–22:00 – Explore the fair at your own pace
🎆 22:15–22:55 – Fireworks & drone show on the Rhine promenade
🚆 23:00 onward – Journey back to Remagen (arrival ~01:46)

You’re free to stay longer or head back earlier at your own responsibility 🙌

🎒 What to bring:
✓ Student ID / Deutschlandticket (or valid ticket)
✓ Comfortable walking shoes
✓ Snacks (optional)
✓ Cash or card
✓ Light jacket for the evening
✓ Fully charged phone + power bank
✓ Water bottle

Let’s make it a summer evening to remember! 🌅🎡💫

✨ New Student Blog Is Out! 🇦🇱✈️

Exchange student and intern from Albania, Ornela,
shares her experience behind the scenes of International Week at RheinAhrCampus and what it really means to build global connections.

What does it take to organize one of the university’s most vibrant international events?

🇦🇱 Aaron, a student from RheinAhrCampus, spent his Erasmus semester at Universiteti i Tiranës in Albania, where he experienced a new culture, built international friendships, and celebrated an incredible achievement with his team! 🏆✨
✨ Take a glimpse into his Erasmus journey below! ✨
“My Erasmus semester in Tirana has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Coming from Germany, I didn’t know what to expect, but Tirana quickly made me feel at home. The welcoming people, vibrant atmosphere, and amazing coffee culture made every day enjoyable.
One of the highlights of my semester was winning the Young Innovators Contest with our international team and our startup concept, FitPod. It was an unforgettable achievement that made this experience even more meaningful.
Outside the university, I loved exploring the Blloku district, visiting the Albanian Riviera, and experiencing the relaxed lifestyle and local culture.
My advice to future exchange students: say yes to new opportunities. The friendships, experiences, and memories you create will stay with you forever.
Thank you, RheinAhrCampus, for making this journey possible!”

🇦🇱 Luca, a student from RheinAhrCampus, is currently on exchange in Tirana, Albania, and has been making the most of his Erasmus experience. 🇦🇱

✨ Take a glimpse into his adventure below! ✨

*”I have been enjoying my Erasmus in Tirana for the past few months, and honestly, it has been one of the best experiences of my life.*

*One of the things I love most about Albania is how easy it is to travel. Renting a car is affordable, and within just a few hours you can reach breathtaking landscapes in both the north and the south. From Tirana, it’s also easy to visit neighboring countries like Montenegro, Kosovo, Greece, and North Macedonia.*

*Before coming here, many people told me that Albania wasn’t safe. However, my experience has been completely different. The Albanian people are incredibly respectful and welcoming. As long as you respect their values, they will treat you with the same kindness.*

*The university has also been a great experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, I have plenty of free time, and the professors are flexible and supportive as long as you communicate honestly with them.*

*I would definitely recommend choosing Tirana for your Erasmus semester if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience filled with new friendships, beautiful places, and lifelong memories.”*

✨ New Student Blog Is Out!

Exchange student Tea packed her entire life into two suitcases and flew to Germany for a semester at RheinAhrCampus — with absolutely no idea what she was getting herself into.

«Growth is uncomfortable, and that’s exactly the point. Living abroad forces you to adapt, to be patient with yourself, and to realize that you’re more capable than you thought.»

She thought she was coming just to study, take courses, and see a few castles. But somewhere between the initial confusion at German grocery stores, late-night bus stops, and figuring out a foreign university system, something shifted.

Her blog is a beautifully raw and honest reflection on what stepping out of your comfort zone actually feels like. It’s about the quiet disorientation of the first weeks, the magic of friendships born over broken German, and discovering a version of yourself that is far more ready for the world.
If you are on the fence about going on an exchange — this story is your sign to just go.

What a workshop! ✨
Own the Room: Confidence Through Body Language 🎤 — because confidence begins before you say a single word.
Together we explored how confidence isn’t something you’re born with, but a skill you can learn, practice, and develop step by step. 💛
From mastering eye contact to practicing simple posture adjustments, every minute was filled with practical insights, actionable tips, and powerful non-verbal techniques.
✨ We discovered how posture and presence can instantly change how others perceive us, learned how to “outsmart” stage fright, and explored how to project absolute certainty even when feeling nervous inside.
🎉 And of course, the workshop brought inspiring ideas, supportive conversations, and lots of hands-on practice to help everyone walk away ready to stand tall and speak up!
