This weekend is Easter, which means Friday, April 18 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 21 (Easter Monday) are public holidays.

The university and all shops will be closed on those days.

Make sure to plan your shopping ahead, as stores are usually very crowded right before the holidays.

Today, our student Viktoriia Karakatsii was awarded the award for outstanding achievements. Viktoriia's passion lies in photography and videography. She does not only use her camera to capture special moments, she has also created outstanding portraits of Ukrainians who fled their homes and came to Saarbrücken.
The laudatory speeches were held by Professor Astrid Fellner (American Studies at ) and by Dr. Lesya Matiyuk, chairwoman of .
The award was presented by the vice president for internationalization, Professor Dominik Brodowski.
