🎓 Welcome to our new batch of students at the Europa-Institut! 🌍
We were delighted to kick off the new academic year together!

Yesterday, our new students received an introduction into the Master’s program in European and International Law, learned more about what to expect during their studies, and explored the campus on a guided tour. They also had the opportunity to get to know one another over lunch at the university cafeteria. 🍽️

We wish all our new students a successful start, lots of new friendships, and an unforgettable time at the Europa-Institut! 💚🇪🇺

One week. Many perspectives. Valuable new connections. 🇲🇰🇪🇺

From 7 to 13 September 2026, students and scholars from South-Eastern Europe and Germany came together in Lake Ohrid, North Macedonia, for the Summer School “Investment Law and the Rule of Law in a Fragmented World: National and Regional Perspectives”.

Lectures, workshops and practical insights were complemented by cultural experiences, new perspectives and an international community that made this week truly special.

The Summer School was part of the DAAD Higher Education Dialog 2026 project “REGROW – From Reform to Growth: Leveraging Rule of Law in the EU Single Market for Investment in EU Candidate States”, implemented by the Europa-Institut at Saarland University and the Faculties of Law of the SEELS Network.

The project is funded by the DAAD and the German Federal Foreign Office.
