🎓 Celebrating Success, Memories, and New Beginnings ✨🎓

Last Saturday, the HFU Business School community came together in the Neckarhalle in Schwenningen to celebrate a very special milestone: the graduation of our Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates.

It was an evening filled with pride, joy, gratitude, and reflection. Family members, friends, faculty, and graduates gathered to honor the hard work, perseverance, and achievements that have brought our students to this important moment.

The celebration began with a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Armin Trost, Dean of HFU Business School, followed by a heartfelt and personal address from Prof. Dr. Uwe Hack, whose words inspired graduates as they prepare for the next chapter of their journey.

A special thank you goes to our student hosts, Amina Ben Hassine and Sky-Noah Jäckle, who guided us through the evening with charm, professionalism, and great energy.

One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony were the Acceptance Speeches. We sincerely thank BMP graduates Maria Nöken and Hannah Sophie Petrik for representing our Bachelor graduates, and Executive MBA graduate Mert Çimen for speaking on behalf of our Master graduates. Your speeches were personal, moving, thoughtful, and at times wonderfully humorous. Thank you for sharing your stories, experiences, and reflections so openly with all of us!

The evening was accompanied by beautiful live music from Keziah Kelly and Ashton D'souza, whose performances created a truly special atmosphere throughout the celebration. Thank you for adding such an emotional musical touch to the event.

With food, drinks, and many opportunities to raise a glass together, graduates, families, friends, and faculty celebrated not only academic success, but also the friendships, challenges, growth, and unforgettable memories that have shaped these years.

Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!
We are incredibly proud of you and grateful that you have been part of the HFU Business School community. We wish you happiness, success, courage, and fulfillment in everything that lies ahead. Wherever your journey takes you, remember that you will always be part of the HFU family 💚 .

This week our International Business courses IBM2 and IBW2 enjoyed a guest lecture by industry expert Claudia Das, an experienced marketing and category manager.

Claudia spent ten years at Procter & Gamble before joining Mars, where she has held various roles across Marketing and now works as a Category Development Leader at Mars Wrigley Confectionery.

Her lecture focused on Category Management – a fascinating function at the intersection of Marketing and Sales. She showed how Category Managers adopt a category-wide perspective to drive growth, creating value for shoppers, retailers and the wider industry alike. Claudia also introduced Mars as an employer and the various entry routes available to graduates.

🦠 Der Schimmelpilz, der Millionen Leben rettete

Er sieht unscheinbar aus und wirkt alles andere als attraktiv – doch kaum eine Mikrobe hat die Geschichte der Medizin so geprägt wie Penicillium. Der Schimmelpilz lieferte die Grundlage für das Penicillin, rettete Millionen Menschenleben und wurde dafür sogar zur „Mikrobe des Jahres“ gewählt.

Warum dieser ungewöhnliche Organismus seinen Ruf verdient hat, erklärt HFU-Prof. Dr. Markus Egert in einem spannenden und allgemein verständlichen Vortrag der Studium Generale-Reihe.

🚋 Schwarzfahren = tatsächlich eine Straftat?

Last night at the Campus Schwenningen of Hochschule Furtwangen University, the world came together in the most beautiful way. 🌍✨

Students from countless countries shared not only their cultures, but also their hearts — through traditional food, music, singing, dances, and unforgettable performances. The International Festival once again became a celebration of connection, friendship, and the incredible diversity that makes our campus feel like home for so many people from around the globe.

Moments like these remind us how special it is to study, laugh, celebrate, and grow together in such an international environment. Different languages, different traditions, different stories — yet one community united by openness, respect, and joy.

On Monday, our MBA students had the great pleasure of visiting the Daimler Truck plant in Wörth am Rhein. The day began with an exciting tour of the Daimler Special Trucks factory, followed by an exclusive overview of various truck models and an inspiring presentation on career opportunities at Daimler Truck.

To round off the experience, our students enjoyed a scoop of ice cream and a short city tour through Karlsruhe.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable day possible for our students — especially our MBA lecturer Ralf Forcher!
