Gerade eben im "Journal of Translational Medicine" als Open Access-Artikel erschienen: Habermann-Horstmeier/Horstmeier: "Symptom clusters in ME/CFS reflect distinct neuroimmune and autonomic pathophysiological mechanisms: a translational model". Die Studie zeigt, dass ME/CFS ist keine zufällige Sammlung einzelner Symptome ist, sondern klaren Mustern folgt, die sich statistisch nachweisen lassen. Sie ist Teil 2 einer Folge von 5 Studien, die u. a. untermauern, dass Frauen und Männer unterschiedliche Symptomstrukturen haben und letztendlich, dass ME/CFS eine neuroimmun‑autonome Multisystemerkrankung ist.
