Wir sind die Fachschaftsinitiative Biologie (FIBio) der Universität Würzburg. Ihr studiert Biologie auf Bachelor, Master oder Lehramt in Würzburg oder wollt das in Zukunft gerne tun? 🥳Hello First-Semester Master's Students - WELCOME! 🥳

Some of you asked about a welcoming event, so we decided to spontaneously organize a board games evening! 🎲

♠️Where: Biocenter (Foyer)
♣️When: Tomorrow, 08.04.2026
♥️Time: 5 PM

Come join us to connect, have fun, and exchange ideas (and maybe a few cards 😉). We have some games, but please feel free to bring your own games since we only have a small selection!

🎄 Einladung zur Adventsvorlesung 🎄

Für alle die an Mikrobiologie interessiert sind ☺️

Unser Gast: Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Maik Luu vom Universitätsklinikum Würzburg – ein außergewöhnlicher Forscher, der bereits vor seinem 30. Lebensjahr Professor wurde. Seine Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung innovativer Immuntherapien unter Einbeziehung des Mikrobioms, um neue Wege in der Krebsbehandlung zu eröffnen.

📖 In seinem Vortrag
„Intestino veritas – Vom Bakterium zur Therapie“
nimmt uns Prof. Luu mit auf eine spannende Reise durch 15 Jahre Mikrobiomforschung und zeigt, wie diese Erkenntnisse die moderne Tumor-Immuntherapie prägen.

Wir sind die Fachschaftsinitiative für Biologie an der Uni Würzburg - kurz FIBio.

✨Was machen wir?
Wir stehen euch für alles rund um euer Studium zur Verfügung! Wenn ihr Beratung oder Unterstützung braucht, seid ihr bei uns genau richtig. Auf Instagram findet ihr immer unsere aktuellen Sprechstunden, aber ihr könnt auch gerne einfach im Fachschaftszimmer (Foyer im Biozentrum) vorbeischauen. Daneben organisieren wir auch die ErstiTage, diverse PubQuiz, BioFeten und andere Events.

✨Wie kann ich bei euch mitmachen?
Egal, ob ihr im Bachelor, im Nebenfach, im Lehramt oder im Master seid, ihr könnt jederzeit bei uns mitmachen. Hier gilt: Alles kann, nichts muss! Wir freuen uns über jede Unterstützung, sei es einmalig oder regelmäßig. Bei uns ist jeder herzlich willkommen. Kommt einfach zu unseren Sitzungen vorbei, die immer donnerstags um 19:15 Uhr im Foyer stattfinden.

We are here to help you with everything concerning your studies! If you need advice or support, feel free to contact us. You can always find our current office hours on Instagram, but you can also just drop by the student council room (foyer in the biocenter). We also organize the master introduction, various PubQuiz, parties and other events.

✨How can I join you?
Regardless of whether you are a Bachelor, Education or Master student, you can join us at any time. Like a german wording says: Everything's optional, nothing's a must! We are happy about any support, regardless if it's a one-time thing or regularly. Everyone is welcome to join us. Just come along to our meetings taking place on Thursdays at 7:15 pm in the foyer.

🍄Pilzausstellung / Mushroom exhibition🍄

Am kommenden Wochenende findet im Botanischen Garten wieder eine Pilzausstellung zum Thema "Essbare Pilze und ihre giftigen Doppelgänger" statt. Hier könnt ihr lernen, wie ihr verschiedene Pilzarten unterscheidet. Es besteht außerdem die Möglichkeit, selbst gesammelte Pilze zur Nachbestimmung mitzubringen.

Next weekend, the Botanical Garden will once again be hosting a mushroom exhibition on the subject of “Edible mushrooms and their poisonous lookalikes”. You learn how to distinguish between different types of mushrooms and also have the opportunity to bring your own mushrooms for identification.
