▶️ Invitation to a guided tour of the Museum of Forced Labor under National Socialism in Weimar

We are kindly inviting you to join us on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 11:45 a.m. for a guided tour of the Museum of Forced Labor under National Socialism in Weimar.

The museum is located in the historic Gauforum and is one of the few institutions in Germany that comprehensively documents the history of forced labor during the N**i era. The exhibition space sheds light on how around 20 million people - including 13 million who were deported to Germany - were forced to work. The exhibition illustrates the conditions in concentration camps, ghettos and industrial plants and makes the fates of these people accessible through personal biographies. A special focus is placed on how the German population treated the forced laborers and what effects this period still has today. The tour not only offers historical insights, but also encourages visitors to reflect on responsibility and remembrance.

The tour is in English. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to talk about the impressions of the exhibition and to engage in an exchange.
