The Doctoral School of Energy and Geotechnology III is an international university-enterprise project supported by the European Union. The doctoral school unites doctoral students, professors and engineers from partner universities and enterprise to promote doctoral studies in the format of lectures, workshops and international scientific conferences. The project contributes to the international c
ommunication, seeking joint research topics and short-term research stays of doctoral students in partner university laboratories. The function of the doctoral school is neither to grant PhD degrees nor to arrange doctoral studies. These functions are provided by partner universities. Support by the doctoral school permits standards of doctoral studies to be enhanced and the period of study to be optimized.
