AI tulevik Eestis algab taristust, kuid kasvab tänu inimestele.

Meil oli au võõrustada Nebius Academy esindajaid ning arutada nendega koostöövõimalusi AI-hariduse arendamiseks Eestis.

Tutvustasime külalistele Eesti Ettevõtluskõrgkooli Mainor ja Ülemiste City tarka linnakut – ainulaadset keskkonda, kus õppetöö, ettevõtlus, tehnoloogia ja innovatsioon kohtuvad. Rääkisime Eesti võimalustest ning sellest, kuidas rahvusvaheline AI-ekspertiis, teadus, arvutusressursid ja praktilised õppeprogrammid võiksid aidata siin kasvatada uusi AI-valdkonna tippspetsialiste.

Kohtumine toimus ajal, mil palju tähelepanu on pälvinud MCF Group Estonia ja Greenergy Data Centersi järgmine arenguetapp ning eesmärk rajada Eestisse järgmise põlvkonna AI-taristu. Meie jaoks on sama oluline küsimus see, kuidas kasvatada Eestis ka teadmisi ja talenti, kes suudavad selle taristu võimalused ellu rakendada.

Kas oled mõelnud karjääripöördele?
Noora Liis Maidla tegi selle ära. Ta lõpetas kevadel EEK Mainori hotelli- ja restoraniettevõtluse eriala ning liikus ettekandja positsioonilt külalislahkusjuhiks. Täna töötab ta LP Hospitality's, mis ühendab mitmeid Eesti tuntuid restorane - UMA Restoran, Lore Bistroo, Lee Brasserie ja Lessner Baar.

Hotelli- ja restoranivaldkond on palju enamat kui majutus ja toitlustus. See on võimalus luua elamusi, juhtida meeskondi, korraldada sündmusi ja töötada rahvusvahelises keskkonnas. Just seepärast on paljud meie õppijad jõudnud juba õpingute jooksul vastutusrikkamale ametikohale või teinud märkimisväärse karjäärihüppe.

Eriala on loodud koostöös Eesti Hotellide ja Restoranide Liiduga ning ühendab praktilise õppe valdkonna vajadustega. Sessioonõpe neljapäevast pühapäevani võimaldab ühendada õpingud töö ja igapäevaste kohustustega.

🚀 We are delighted to announce that the SFF DEEP CONNECT consortium, of which Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences is a proud member, has been selected under the EIT Higher Education Initiative (HEI) 2025/2026 Call, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

Bringing together 10 organisations from 10 European countries, SFF DEEP CONNECT will strengthen Europe's deep-tech innovation ecosystem by connecting higher education, research, entrepreneurship and venture creation through a shared vision of more innovative, entrepreneurial and internationally connected universities.

Building on the achievements of the Start for Future ecosystem, the consortium will work over the next 24 months to:
🔹 equip thousands of students, researchers and university staff with innovation and entrepreneurial skills;
🔹 foster the creation of new deep-tech ventures through collaborative innovation programmes;
🔹 strengthen knowledge transfer and research commercialisation;
🔹 connect universities, startups, industry and innovation ecosystems across Europe;
🔹 create lasting institutional capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education.

We are proud to contribute to this collaborative European initiative and look forward to working alongside our partners to help shape the future of deep-tech innovation in Europe.

Meie GD I kursuse tudengid käisid õppekäigul POCO muuseumis, kus tutvuti mitmekesise kaasaegse kunstiga ning avardati arusaama kunstivoolude ja -tehnikate mitmekesisusest.

Tudengid tõid esile, et muuseumis eksponeeritud teosed ja neid saatvad lood pakkusid rohkelt äratundmisrõõmu ning uusi teadmisi. Eriliselt positiivset tähelepanu pälvisid Andy Warholi teosed – tema loomingu tausta ja panuse tundmaõppimine popkunsti arengusse aitas teostest paremini aru saada ning muutis need tähenduslikumaks ja meeldejäävamaks.

Õppekäik pakkus tudengitele nii inspiratsiooni kui ka värsket vaatenurka.

We're proud that Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences has contributed to the booklet from the European Research Area workshop "Higher Education Institutions as ecosystem anchors."

Co-organised by the European Commission together with the Coimbra Group, EURASHE and YERUN, and supported by ERRIN, the workshop brought experts together to explore how HEIs can move from project-based collaboration to becoming trusted anchors of regional R&I ecosystems.

The booklet gathers 13 case studies of HEIs across Europe doing exactly that and we're pleased to represent Estonia in this overview. For us, acting as an ecosystem anchor is inseparable from our mission of growing the entrepreneurial mindset, here in Ülemiste City and beyond.

Some partnerships make sense from the very first conversation.

Our research and marketing teams, together with our Head of Internationalisation, recently visited Kristiania University College in Oslo — now one of our partner institutions.

What made the visit especially valuable was how similar many of our questions are. How do you build visibility as a private university in a competitive market? How do research, internationalisation and communication support each other in a way that actually creates value?

At Kristiania, we had the opportunity to discuss these topics openly with colleagues from their international, marketing and research teams, as well as meet with the pro-rector. We exchanged experiences, compared approaches, talked about what has worked, what has not, and what both institutions can learn from each other.

Their campus in Oslo left a strong impression — a rare combination of historic character and modern learning spaces, full of energy and ambition. We were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism throughout the visit.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the possibilities this cooperation may bring, including future opportunities for our students to study at Kristiania and gain an international learning experience in Oslo.

Thank you, Kristiania, for the warm welcome and insightful discussions. We are looking forward to what comes next.

Want to shape student life in Ülemiste City? Join us as a volunteer.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers who would like to take an active role in building and strengthening the Ülemiste City community.

The idea is to form a student&alumni-led volunteer group that will take the initiative in planning and organizing regular community activities. EUAS and Ülemiste City will support this initiative by providing resources, spaces, and promotional support – but the driving force will be the students and alumni themselves.

Together, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive community by regularly organizing:
*Sports events
*Board game nights
*Community evenings and social gatherings
*And other engaging events for students, alumni and Ülemiste City employees

This is a great opportunity to gain real experience in event organization, teamwork and community building, while also connecting with people across different backgrounds and industries.
