🏆 Eve Kikas Receives Estonia’s National Lifetime Achievement Award in Education!

At the Estonian Teacher of the Year Gala on 10 October, Eve Kikas, Head of the Centre for Educational Psychology and Professor of School Psychology at Tallinn University, received the national Lifetime Achievement Award for Education Professionals in recognition of her long-standing and outstanding contribution to integrating psychological knowledge into education.

🌟 Eve Kikas is one of Estonia’s leading figures in educational and school psychology. She has co-edited three handbooks on child development and authored more than 120 research articles. Her work has contributed to the development of assessment tools for school psychologists, digital tools for assessing child development, and the application of research-based knowledge in everyday educational practice.

Beyond her research, Eve has played a significant role in advancing school psychology in Estonia, educating future specialists, and strengthening collaboration between researchers and practitioners.

💐 This award celebrates decades of dedication to ensuring that psychological research supports children’s development and learning, as well as teachers and other education professionals in their everyday work.

📣 We are looking for a Research Fellow in Individual Characteristics and Behaviours in Sustainability Transitions!

The School of Educational Sciences at Tallinn University is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the ERA Chair in Sustainable Futures (SustainERA) project. 🌱

The research will focus on individual characteristics and behaviours related to the environment, sustainability and post-growth in Estonia and the wider Nordic-Baltic region.

We are looking for a researcher with a relevant PhD in social sciences and strong quantitative research skills. The position is full-time for 16 months, starting in January 2027.
