To celebrate the tenth edition of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑽𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑾𝒆𝒆𝒌, 𝑴𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂 𝒊𝒍 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒐 returns to St. Mark’s Square from 13th September to 1st November 2026, taking place alongside the festival for this special anniversary. ✨

Under the arches of the Procuratie Vecchie, internationally renowned artists and designers, together with Murano’s master glassmakers, will transform one of Venice’s most iconic spaces into an open-air celebration of creativity, innovation and the excellence of Murano glass.

Per celebrare la decima edizione di 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑽𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑾𝒆𝒆𝒌, 𝑴𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂 𝒊𝒍 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒐 torna in Piazza San Marco dal 13 settembre al 1° novembre 2026, svolgendosi eccezionalmente in contemporanea con il festival per celebrarne questo importante traguardo. ✨

Sotto gli archi delle Procuratie Vecchie, artisti e designer di fama internazionale, insieme ai maestri vetrai muranesi, trasformeranno uno degli spazi più iconici di Venezia in una celebrazione a cielo aperto della creatività, dell’innovazione e dell’eccellenza del vetro di Murano.

Applications are now open | Glass Artist in Residence

The World of Glass invites applications for two Glass Artist in Residence opportunities taking place between October 2026 and March 2027.

The residency offers two weeks of dedicated access to our hot and cold glass studios, accommodation, materials, and a £500 contribution towards the creation of a new work for The World of Glass' nationally accredited museum collection.

We welcome applications from glass artists at all stages of their careers, from the UK and internationally, who are interested in developing their practice while engaging with one of Britain's most significant centres of glass heritage.

As part of the residency, artists will create a new work for the museum collection and share aspects of their practice through public engagement.

Applications close: 15 August 2026.
