Western Blot'i ja teisi sarnaseid analüüsimeetodeid kasutatakse biolaborites iga päev, kuid andmete haldamine ja tööprotsesside dokumenteerimine võtab endiselt palju aega.

IOCBIO Gel aitab laboritel töövooge tõhustada, vähendada käsitööd ning tagada analüüside täieliku jälgitavuse. Tarkvara põhineb metadata haldamisel, võimaldades andmeid hallata, dokumenteerida ja tagantjärele kontrollida ühes süsteemis.

Lahendus on arendatud TalTechi Süsteemibioloogia laboris, arendusega on seotud professor Marko Vendelin ja kaasprofessor Martin Laasmaa.

Western blotting and similar analysis methods are used in biolaboratories every day, yet data management and workflow documentation remain time-consuming.

IOCBIO Gel helps laboratories streamline workflows, reduce manual work and ensure full traceability of analyses. The software is built around metadata management, allowing data to be stored, documented and audited within a single system.

The solution has been developed at TalTech’s Systems Biology Lab, with development involving Professor Marko Vendelin and Associate Professor Martin Laasmaa.

Chronic stress affects both cognitive and physical performance, yet continuous non-invasive monitoring remains difficult. Current laboratory methods are expensive, slow and dependent on centralized equipment.

Cortisol MIP Sensor enables non-invasive stress monitoring from saliva.

The solution is being developed at TalTech’s Laboratory of Biofunctional Materials in collaboration with Leading Researcher Vitali Syritski.

Finaali jõudis kokku seitse tugevat tehnoloogiaideed, mis näitasid, kui mitmekesiseid probleeme Eesti iduettevõtted lahendavad – alates regeneratiivsest meditsiinist ja diabeediravist kuni AI-platvormide ja koerapesujaamadeni. 🧠

The funding went to two early-stage technology startups developing solutions in food technology and industrial software.

The funding went to:
🍄 Öseen – €20,000 to turn nutrient-rich brewing by-products into clean-label food ingredients using mycelium
⚙️ Proctera – €15,000 to develop procurement software for manufacturing companies, covering the entire process from engineering to suppliers

A total of seven strong technology ideas reached the final, showcasing the wide range of challenges Estonian startups are tackling – from regenerative medicine and diabetes treatment to AI platforms and dog wash stations. 🧠

Uued kontaktid, koostööideed, inspireerivad vestlused ja palju uudishimulikke inimesi avastamas, milliseid lahendusi sünnib teadlaste, idufirmade ja tööstuspartnerite koostöös.

Meie boksis sai tutvuda droonitehnoloogiatega ja panna end proovile drooni digitaalsel lennutamisel (saladuse katte all võib öelda, et kõrvalt tundus lihtne, ise tehes päris keeruline).

Külastajaid tervitas humanoidrobot, kes oli tähtsaks sündmuseks Crocsid jalga tõmmanud. Tudengisatelliit tutvustas oma prototüüpe ja kosmosetehnoloogia arendusi, CogniFlow näitas oma modulaarset süsteemi, mis muudab tilgapõhised uuringud tõhusamaks ja paremini kohandatavaks. Tudengitiim Svara AI jagas oma uusimaid arendusi. Välialal sai lähemalt uurida ka Solaride autot. 🤖☀️

Vestlused jätkusid DeepTech P***s, kus kohtusime nii uute inimestega kui vanade sõpradega innovatsioonikogukonnast. Üheks tipphetkeks oli kindlasti paneeldiskussioon “Building the New Nordic Deeptech Powerhouse”, kus arutati, kuidas tugevdada Põhjamaade deeptech-ökosüsteemi ja koostööd.

New connections, fresh collaboration ideas, inspiring conversations, and plenty of curious minds exploring the kinds of solutions that emerge when researchers, startups, and industry partners work together.

At our booth, visitors could explore drone technologies and test their skills with a digital drone flight simulator (from the sidelines it looked easy, in reality… not so simple).

Guests were welcomed by a humanoid robot wearing Crocs for the occasion. Estonian Student Satellite showcased their prototypes and space technology developments, while CogniFlow presented its modular system designed to make droplet-based research more efficient and adaptable. The student team Svara AI shared their latest developments, and outside, visitors could also take a closer look at the Solaride car. 🤖☀️

The conversations continued at the DeepTech Pub, where we connected with both new faces and familiar friends from the innovation community. One of the highlights was definitely the panel discussion “Building the New Nordic Deeptech Powerhouse”, focused on strengthening the Nordic deeptech ecosystem and collaboration across the region.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our booth, listened to the student team and spin-off pitches, joined the masterclass, or booked a meeting in the self-driving car. 🚘

Otsime Ubicharge’ile kaasasutajat.

Elektriautode laadimine on linnades endiselt probleem. Paljud kortermajade elanikud sõltuvad tänavaparkimisest ning uue laadimistaristu rajamine on kulukas ja aeglane.

Ubicharge kasutab olemasolevat tänavavalgustuse võrku elektriautode laadimiseks. Lahendus muudab laternapostid nutikateks laadimispunktideks, võimaldades laadida elektriautosid ilma uut infrastruktuuri rajamata.

Lahendus on arendatud TalTechi ökosüsteemis ning arendusega on seotud Hans Anniste, Andrei Blinov ja Rasmus Roomets.

We are looking for a co-founder for Ubicharge.

Electric vehicle (EV) charging remains a challenge in cities. Many apartment residents rely on on-street parking, while building new charging infrastructure is costly and slow.

Ubicharge uses existing streetlight infrastructure for EV charging. The solution turns lamp posts into smart charging points, enabling EV charging without building new infrastructure.

The solution has been developed within the TalTech ecosystem, with development involving Hans Anniste, Andrei Blinov and Rasmus Roomets.

MarineHäkk 2026 tõi kokku tudengid, ettevõtted ja eksperdid, et lahendada merenduse kaitse ja vastupanuvõimega seotud päris väljakutseid.

Vaid ühe päevaga jõuti probleemikirjeldusest konkreetsete lahendusteni - autonoomsetest mereplatvormidest kuni nutikate rannakaitsesüsteemideni.
