Revised European Society of Endocrinology Clinical Practice Guideline: Treatment of Chronic Hypoparathyroidism in Adults

OUT NOW: REVISED CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINE

We are pleased to share our open access Revised Clinical Practice Guideline for Treatment of Chronic Hypoparathyroidism in Adults, published in the latest issue of the European Journal of Endocrinology.

The Guideline has been developed by a multidisciplinary expert panel chaired by Jens Bollerslev (Norway).

Professor Bollerslev, said: “These guidelines have been developed as the management of hypoparathyroidism has changed since the first ESE clinical guideline was published in 2015, as has the knowledge on patient burden of the disease, and the understanding of morbidities. The Revised Guideline is a true collaboration between clinical endocrinologists, methodologists, patient representatives and the various disciplines involved in hypoparathyroidism such as nephrology and endocrine surgery.”

This was the work of Dr Rawan, who brilliantly defended her thesis today 👌
With 2.3 K medical records reviewed, Dr Rawan's work provides the first of its kind extensive reference to the functional and structural thyroid disorders from Alexandria, Egypt, serving patients from 4+ major governorates.
