**🎓✨ Wrapping Up Research Summer School 2026 ✨🎓**
**Undergraduate Research Day | Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University**
On **Saturday, 24 October 2026**, the **Student Gateway & Cooperative Education Hub (SGCEH)** closed the **Research Summer School 2026** with **Undergraduate Research Day**, held at the Conference Hall, 6th Floor, Al Rowad Building.
The event was held under the patronage of **Prof. Dr. Hanan ElGowelli** Faculty Dean, and supervised by **Prof. Dr. Alyaa Ramadan** Vice Dean for Education & Student Affairs and ** Dr. Doaa Fathi** SGCEH Coordinator & Assistant to the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
**📌 The Summer School**
**18 students** in **7 research groups** worked over the summer under the supervision of **5 departments**: Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology & Immunology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacy Practice & Clinical Pharmacy.
**📌 The Day**
The program opened with welcome speeches from the Vice Dean, followed by the Summer School roadmap, guidance sessions for aspiring researchers. Students then presented their work. The day also featured students who took part in research activities beyond the Summer School, including local and international conferences, international competitions, and international publications with researchers from outside the faculty.
**🏆 Winners**
🥇 **1st place (shared), Summer School projects:**
▪️ *Feeding the Epigenome, Fueling the Brain: Polymorphic Nutrigenomic Landscapes and Chromatin Dynamics in Brain Health and Neurological Disorders* (Biochemistry)
▪️ *DNA Extraction for Whole Genome Sequencing* (Microbiology & Immunology)
🥇 **1st place, research outside the Summer School:**
▪️ *Investigating the kidney outcomes of adding Finerenone to standard of care in non-diabetic CKD: a systematic review and meta-analysis*

في أجواء مليئة بالشغف والإنجاز، اختتمت **البوابة الطلابية ومجمع التعليم التعاوني (SGCEH)** فعاليات **Research Summer School 2026** بتنظيم **Undergraduate Research Day** يوم **السبت 24 أكتوبر 2026** بقاعة المؤتمرات بالدور السادس – مبنى الرواد.
الفعالية أُقيمت برعاية **أ.د. حنان الجويلي** عميد الكلية و تحت اشراف **أ.د. علياء رمضان** وكيل الكلية لشؤون التعليم والطلاب و **د. دعاء فتحي** (منسق البوابة الطلابية ومساعد وكيل الكلية لشؤون التعليم والطلاب)،
**📌 عن المدرسة الصيفية**
شارك في المدرسة الصيفية **18 طالباً وطالبة** موزعين على **7 مجموعات بحثية**، عملوا خلال الصيف تحت إشراف **5 أقسام علمية**:
▪️ الكيمياء التحليلية
▪️ الميكروبيولوجي والمناعة
▪️ الكيمياء الحيوية
▪️ الصيدلانيات
▪️ الممارسة الصيدلية والصيدلة الإكلينيكية
**📌 برنامج اليوم**
بدأ اليوم بكلمات افتتاحية من الأستاذة الدكتورة وكيل الكلية، ثم استعراض خارطة طريق المدرسة الصيفية وجلسات تعريفية للطلاب عن اهمية المشاركة في البحث العلمي خلال المرحلة الجامعيه، تلاها عروض الطلاب لأبحاثهم ومناقشتها.
كما شهد اليوم مشاركة طلاب من المشاركين في **أنشطة بحثية أخرى خارج المدرسة الصيفية**، سواء في مؤتمرات محلية ودولية، أو مسابقات دولية، أو نشر علمي دولي بالتعاون مع باحثين من خارج الكلية.
