Ending the academic year on a high note! ✨

Our final Open Day of the academic year brought together the FEEE community, parents and prospective students including students from across the region for a day of conversations and exploring the opportunities that lie ahead.

From meeting our academic staff and student ambassadors to discovering our programmes and learning more about life at FEEE, it was a pleasure connecting with the next generation of engineers.

This may be the last Open Day of the academic year, but it’s only the beginning of what’s next. 👀

Stay tuned!

International Summer Camp 2026 | Days 3 & 4 🌍✨

Continuing our International Summer Camp 2026, in collaboration with the School of Continuing Education (SCE), our Libyan students explored sustainability, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the role we can all play in building cleaner and greener communities.

Learning was made interactive through engaging activities and games, showing that learning is fun! 🎯🌱

Students then took part in a hands-on laboratory session, where they formulated drilling mud and performed key measurements, including density, viscosity, pH, solid content, and filter press tests, gaining valuable practical experience.

The days concluded with technical writing and communication, where students selected topics from the camp, prepared presentations, and presented their ideas—strengthening their communication, presentation, and computer skills.

Another two days of learning, teamwork, and hands-on experience! 🚀

International Summer Camp 2026 | Days 1 & 2 🌍🇪🇬🇬🇧🇱🇾

In collaboration with the School of Continuing Education (SCE), we were pleased to welcome our Libyan students to the International Summer Camp 2026 at the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering.

The first two days combined learning, exploration, and hands-on experiences, covering emerging renewable energy technologies, electrical and mechanical power engineering applications, decarbonisation, sustainable green architecture, and the integration of modern architecture with AI.

A highlight of the experience was their visit to the Energy Engineering Lab, where students explored our facilities and interacted with student projects and real engineering applications. They also experienced our VR activities and were introduced to surveying tools and techniques, including elevation, levelling, and coordinate measurements.

The Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering at The British University in Egypt, in collaboration with the School of Continuing Education, hosted a student scientific seminar on Saturday, 15 August 2026, entitled “The Contributions of Student Programmes and Activities to the Internationalisation of Higher Education: The British University in Egypt as a Model.”

The seminar was held on the sidelines of the educational camp “Science in Action: Field of Medicine,” which took place from 9 to 16 August 2026 as part of the comprehensive training opportunities framework for regional cooperation with the Maghreb countries (BUE-SC.AMC.08 / 2026).

The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Attia Attia, Dean of the Faculty, who delivered a welcoming address highlighting the importance of the camp in promoting the integration of scientific disciplines. He emphasised that such integration represents a fundamental gateway to accessing competitive programmes and opportunities related to the internationalisation of science across its various fields. He also highlighted the significant impact of students’ engagement in competitive programmes on building strong and well-rounded personalities capable of shaping a promising future.

This was followed by a presentation delivered by Ms. Joumana Megahed from the University’s Strategic Management Development Department, who provided an overview of the Conference of the Parties (COP) Simulation Programme, including the mechanisms and requirements for student participation in this international event.

The seminar then featured Saja Al-Zubaidi, a student at the Faculty of Law at The British University in Egypt, who shared her experience participating in the training programmes related to this year’s COP31 simulation.

Following this, Dr. Osama Kashadah delivered a presentation outlining the wide range of academic and training opportunities available at The British University in Egypt, highlighting the pathways available for students to broaden their academic and professional experiences.

The Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering (FEEE) at The British University in Egypt proudly participated in the First Scientific Forum on Food Industries and Green Engineering, focusing on “Green Energy Applications for Supporting SMEs in the Food Industry.”

The Biochemical Engineering Department contributed through two technical sessions delivered by our graduates:

☘️Eng. Reem — Production of Biolubricants from Biomass
🍀Eng. Sally — Production of Biogas from Various Waste Streams

The sessions highlighted how biomass and waste can be transformed into valuable products and renewable energy, supporting the circular economy and sustainable development.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Prof. Manal Ramadan for organizing and chairing the Forum, and to Dr. Mohamed Bassyouni for his valuable support. We are proud of our graduates and their contribution to this distinguished scientific event.
