A Day of Service, Community Impact, and a Special Historical Memory 🇪🇬

Alhamdulillah, I am deeply grateful for the successful completion of the British University in Egypt (BUE) Comprehensive Medical and Development Convoy to Mit Abu El-Kom, Menoufia Governorate, held on 6 October 2026.

The convoy was a meaningful community service initiative that brought together dedicated healthcare professionals, faculty members, students, and volunteers to provide medical services, health screening, health education, psychological health awareness, and other forms of support to the people of the village and surrounding communities.

What made this day particularly special was not only the success of the convoy, but also the historical and emotional significance of Mit Abu El-Kom, the birthplace of the late Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat.

One of the most memorable moments for me personally was having the opportunity to visit El-Sadat Museum, located in his family home. Standing in a place that carries such an important part of Egypt's modern history was truly a remarkable and unforgettable experience. It was a moment of great happiness and admiration to be there, especially on the anniversary of the glorious 6th of October Victory.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to:

Prof. Mohamed Lotfy, President of The British University in Egypt,
Prof. Tarek Abbas, Vice President of The British University in Egypt,
Prof. Maha Adel, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing,
Dr. Moataz Bahaa, Medical Director of the Medical Convoys,
Mr. Ahmed Abdel Latif, Administrative Director of the Medical Convoys,
and Mr. Sameh El-Sadat, Member of the Egyptian Senate, for the kind invitation and support.

My heartfelt thanks go to all the faculty members, healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and students of BUE Health Cluster — Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy whose dedication, professionalism, compassion, and teamwork made this convoy a truly meaningful community service experience. I am proud of the spirit of collaboration demonstrated by all four faculties in serving the community.

I am especially proud of the spirit of teamwork and commitment demonstrated by our Faculty of Nursing. Community service is not only about providing healthcare; it is about reaching people where they are, listening to their needs, promoting health and well-being, and leaving a positive impact.

This day reminded me once again that service to the community is both a professional responsibility and a privilege.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve.
Proud of our team.
And deeply thankful for a day that combined community service, national pride, and a beautiful connection with Egypt's history. 🇪🇬❤️

Together, we serve. Together, we make an impact.

🌐 BUE × DMS | Advancing Digital Healthcare Education

The British University in Egypt (BUE) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DMS – Data Management Systems, strengthening the bridge between academic education, healthcare innovation, and digital transformation.

This strategic partnership represents an important step toward preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals for a rapidly evolving, technology-driven healthcare environment.

Through this collaboration, BUE students—particularly students in Nursing and other healthcare-related disciplines—will gain valuable exposure to Centric Care, DMS’s integrated healthcare management solution, and explore the role of Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) in modern healthcare operations and practice.

💙 A Special Focus on Nursing Education

Within the Faculty of Nursing, the collaboration will highlight the Nursing Portal, including Mobility Solutions and Nurse Rounds, connecting students’ learning in Nursing Informatics with practical digital applications.

This will enable students to better understand how technology supports:

• Electronic nursing documentation
• Clinical communication and information management
• Nursing workflows and clinical rounds
• Patient-centered care
• Healthcare management and coordination

The collaboration also extends beyond the Faculty of Nursing, supporting relevant educational and training opportunities across BUE and contributing to the development of graduates who are digitally competent, innovative, adaptable, and prepared for the future of healthcare.

At BUE, we believe that education must evolve alongside healthcare itself. By connecting academic knowledge with real-world technology and industry expertise, we can empower our students to become active contributors to the digital transformation of healthcare.

We are proud of this partnership with DMS and look forward to the opportunities it will create for our students, educators, and the wider healthcare community.

Together, we are bridging Education, Technology, and Healthcare Practice. 🌐💙
