The University of Malaga demonstrated its capability to organise international events such as the World University Futsal Championship in 1992 and the World University Judo Championship in 2000. These first steps served as learning experiences, which together with our continuous search of further challenges helped host the 13th World University Golf Championship in 2010 and the 8th European Univer

sities Beach-Volleyball Championship in 2011. It is a matter of pride for our institution to host this European Championship. We will continue confirming our status at organising these kinds of events and try to convert Antequera in the world university capital city of Futsal
