The Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona (FIB) is, since the academic year 1977-78, the teaching institution of UPC-BARCELONATECH (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-Technical University of Catalonia) in charge of the higher education in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and related matters.
