Can architecture be made of air?🌬️
In just a few days, students from 2nd to 5th year of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture will take part in : Hubble Bubble, a week-long challenge that turns imagination into built space.
Inspired by interstellar nebulae and the logic of bubbles 🌌🫧, this year’s challenge invites nearly 200 students to experiment with inflatable architecture: lightweight, ephemeral and capable of creating large spaces with very little material.
Working in 4 multidisciplinary teams, they will design and build full-scale prototypes that will come together as a single collective installation for exploration, creativity and experimentation.
The experience will culminate on September 8th with a public presentation and the evaluation of the projects by an international jury 🌍
For one week, the campus becomes a laboratory where air, lightness and collaboration are transformed into architecture. 🚀
