We share this new testimony of a person who led the participation of the IES Ignacio Aldecoa College (Getafe, Madrid, Spain). The effort and commitment of the teaching teams stands out, especially in times of pandemic and the subsequent adaptation to normality. Not only IES Aldecoa promoted commitment and collaboration with the Fair School project, but also all the schools in the consortium.

Fair School Project - Sustainability and Legacy

The Fair School Project has been developed to promote more inclusive schools in Europe. The work of the IES Ignacio Aldecoa School (Getafe, Madrid) during this period has been possible thanks to the commitment of its teaching team and the educational community.

In the video, we share a testimonial from the team that has participated in the piloting (IO4) of the Fair School methodology and the Serious Games (IO3). Specifically, the testimonial explains the potential of the Serious Game "The Message of the Trees" developed by Maltepe Lisesi from Türkiye.
The school's commitment is to continue applying these tools in the future, to improve the learning conditions of all students. Thanks to all the teachers, students and families who have participated in the Fair School Project.

Fair School Project - Sustainability and legacy

The project Fair School aims at tackling the integration of migrant children and succeeding in host country education systems is a key part of the wider socio-economic integration of migrant populations. The project is funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme under the reference number 2020-1-ES01-KA201-083026, with supervision by Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación

The Fair School Project consortium created a set of four Serious Games to be used in 21st-century European schools. They are a set of instruments to promote respect, tolerance and the inclusion of all students. The Serious Games were created by teachers from the consortium schools, who have extensive experience in the educational field. Their expertise in the community has been fundamental in generating serious games adjusted to the reality of schools and offering a useful tool for their applicability in other schools in the future. 2023, 1 de mayo | Sostenibilidad y legado del proyecto

El proyecto Fair School tiene como objetivo abordar la integración de los niños inmigrantes y tener éxito en los sistemas educativos del país de acogida es una parte clave de la integración socioeconómica más amplia de las poblaciones inmigrantes. El proyecto está financiado por el Programa ERASMUS+ con el número de referencia 2020-1-ES01-KA201-083026, con la supervisión de Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación

El proyecto está entrando en su último mes, momento de estructurar y confirmar el plan de explotación del proyecto para garantizar la sostenibilidad y el legado, como se describe a continuación.

En primer lugar, los socios adoptarán las buenas prácticas en las escuelas de sus programas de “formación de formadores”, por lo que estarán disponibles para la transferencia horizontal a otras escuelas a través de la movilidad del personal y el intercambio de buenas prácticas a nivel local y nacional. Todos los materiales y contenidos del proyecto se cargarán y estarán disponibles en el sitio web del proyecto para que puedan ser adaptados por otras organizaciones europeas en sus respectivos contextos. Durante el proyecto, todos estos materiales también serán enviados a redes, proyectos y organizaciones con las que la asociación tiene relaciones.
Al finalizar el proyecto, la web, los contenidos formativos en una plataforma MOOC, la cuenta de Twitter, quedan activos y sus contenidos serán accesibles para todos. La UC3M será la encargada de mantener todos estos recursos activos más allá de la ejecución del proyecto. Se desarrollará una base de datos de organizaciones y actores interesados ​​en el proyecto FAIR SCHOOL y se enviarán los resultados del proyecto a estas entidades para que puedan distribuirlos o utilizarlos en sus entornos. Además, todos los socios del proyecto abrirán una sección dentro de sus sitios web que incluirá información clave sobre el proyecto. The project Fair School aims at tackling the integration of migrant children and succeeding in host country education systems is a key part of the wider socio-economic integration of migrant populations. The project is funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme under the reference number 2020-1-ES01-KA201-083026, with supervision by Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación

The project is entering its last month, time to structure and confirm the project’s exploitation plan to ensure sustainability and legacy, as outlined next. First of all, the partners will adopt the good practices in the schools of its “train-the-trainer” programmes, thus being available for horizontal transfer to other schools via staff mobility and exchange of good practices at local and national level. All materials and contents of the project will be uploaded and available on the project website so they can be adapted by other European organisations in their respective contexts. During the project, all these materials will also be sent to networks, projects and organisations with which the partnership has relations. At the end of the project, the website, the training contents on a MOOC platform, the Twitter account, remain active and its contents will be accessible by all. The UC3M will be in charge of keeping all these resources active beyond the project ex*****on. A database of organisations and stakeholders interested in the FAIR SCHOOL project will be developed and the project's results will be sent to these entities so they can distribute or use them in their environments. Also, all project partners will open a section within their websites that will include key information about the project. In addition, when drafting the content of the website, the keywords will be used so that the link of the website appears first in browsers such as Google, Yahoo when used in advanced search.

Fair School Project - ERASMUS+
Reunión Transnacional de Socios nº 5 (TPM5) en Maltepe Lisesi (Estambul, Türkiye), 12 y 13 de Abril.
Los socios tuvieron la última reunión presencial del proyecto en la ciudad de Estambul, aunque algunos socios se conectaron on-line. El anfitrión fue Maltepe Lisesi, bajo el liderazgo de Özlem Alan.

La reunión tuvo como objetivo principal compartir los aprendizajes del pilotaje de la metodología Fair School (IO4) en las 4 escuelas que forman parte del consorcio (en España, Portugal, Polonia y Türkiye). Además, revisamos el plan de evaluación y monitoreo, para verificar el correcto cumplimiento de los objetivos e indicadores del proyecto, y también la estrategias comunicacional y de diseminación de los resultados. Los socios igualmente revisaron las cuestiones administrativas y financieras para la fase de cierre.

Durante el encuentro, los anfitriones compartieron las actividades que realizan las estudiantes del colegio, quienes han dedicado muchos esfuerzos para elaborar juegos, juguetes y vestimentas para las personas afectadas por el reciente terremoto. Además visitamos el Museo Arqueológico Nacional. El consorcio agradece especialmente la hospitalidad de todas las personas del equipo de Maltepe Lisesi.

El proyecto "Fomento de un entorno justo e inclusivo para estudiantes de secundaria en entornos escolares interculturales a través de un método pedagógico novedoso basado en prácticas restaurativas y aprendizaje social y emocional" (Fair School) tiene como objetivo abordar la integración de los niños migrantes y tener éxito en los sistemas educativos del país de acogida. una parte clave de la integración socioeconómica más amplia de las poblaciones migrantes. El proyecto comenzó en Septiembre de 2020 y concluye en Mayo de 2023.

Fair School Project - ERASMUS+
Transnational Partners Meeting nº 5 (TPM5) in Maltepe Lisesi (Istanbul, Türkiye), April 12 and 13.

The partners had the last face-to-face meeting of the project in the city of Istanbul, although some partners connected online. The host was Maltepe Lisesi, under the leadership of Özlem Alan.
The main objective of the meeting was to share the learning from the piloting of the Fair School (IO4) methodology in the 4 schools that are part of the consortium (in Spain, Portugal, Poland and Türkiye). In addition, we review the evaluation and monitoring plan, to verify the correct fulfilment of the objectives and indicators of the project, and also the communication and dissemination strategies of the results. The partners also reviewed the administrative and financial issues for the closing phase.

During the meeting, the hosts shared the Maltepe Lisesi activities carried out by the students of the school, who have dedicated a lot of effort to making games, toys and clothes for the people affected by the recent earthquake. We also visited the Archaeological National Museum. The consortium is especially grateful for the hospitality of all the people of the Maltepe Lisesi team.
The project "Promoting a fair and inclusive environment for secondary school students in intercultural school settings through a novel pedagogical method based on restorative practices and social and emotional learning" (Fair School) aims to address the integration of migrant children and succeed in the educational systems of the host country. a key part of the broader socioeconomic integration of migrant populations. The project started in September 2020 and will end in May 2023.

Fair School Project - ERASMUS+
Reunión Bimensual del Comité coordinador del proyecto, en formato online (Zoom), el día 6 de marzo.
Los socios se reunieron para revisar el avance del proyecto e ir preparando la fase final hasta Mayo de 2023.
Los socios revisaron especialmente el avance en el pilotaje de la metodología Fair School en las 4 escuelas del consorcio de socios, en España (IES Ignacio Aldecoa), Portugal (SPEL), Polonia (Lyceum Bialstok) y Turquía (Maltepe Lisesi).
Además, los socios comentaron la agenda del último encuentro transnacional que se realizará en Istanbul el 12 y 13 de Abril. En esa reunión se revisarán los productos globales (Intellectual Ooutputs) y la evaluación general, antes de elaborar el informe final.

Multiplier Event realizado en Getafe (Madrid, España), el día 21 de Diciembre de 2022, en la Universidad Carlos III.

El objetivo de la actividad ha sido difundir el programa
ERASMUS+, dando a conocer los detalles del desarrollo del proyecto Fair School, explicando sus objetivos, actividades y productos. Además, pudimos compartir los Serious Games creados por el consorcio de socios. Hubo una gran participación de personas de diferentes países y que valoraron mucho la metodología Fair School, para promover escuelas más inclusivas en el Siglo XXI.

Fair School Project - ERASMUS+
Multiplier Event held in Getafe (Madrid, Spain), on December 21, 2022, at the Carlos III University.

Fair School Project - ERASMUS+
El proyecto Fair School: "Fomento de un entorno justo e inclusivo para estudiantes de secundaria en entornos escolares interculturales a través de un método pedagógico novedoso basado en prácticas restaurativas y aprendizaje social y emocional".

El objetivo es abordar la integración de los niños migrantes y tener éxito en los sistemas educativos del país de acogida. una parte clave de la integración socioeconómica más amplia de las poblaciones migrantes.

Actualmente el consorcio de socios está completando el IO2 sobre sensibilización y formación de docentes de escuelas secundarias y el IO3 sobre un set de serious games para promover la reflexión activa en las aulas. A continuación, a partir de Octubre de 2022 y hasta Marzo de 2023, las 4 escuelas que forman parte del consorcio, iniciarán la fase de pilotaje de la metodología FS y los 4 serious games.

FAIR SCHOOL es coordinado por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, España. El cosorcio de socios cuenta además con representantes de Portugal (SPEL), Turquía (IAAD y Maltepe), Polonia (U. Bialystok y Bialystok Lyceum), Holanda (ID) y España (IES Ignacio Aldecoa).
