Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Oficial), and University of Tennessee, Knoxville have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote scientific and academic collaboration and strengthen their cooperative inter-institutional relationship.
The agreement establishes a framework for the implementation of joint activities in areas of mutual interest, including ion beam analysis, ion beam modification, radiation effect testing, and in-situ material evolution. Through this partnership, the three institutions aim to promote knowledge exchange and scientific research and create new opportunities for collaboration.
This agreement represents an important step towards strengthening international cooperation in materials science and ion beam research. By combining complementary expertise, research infrastructures (Centro de Micro-Análisis de Materiales - CMAM being a key actor), and scientific capabilities, , , and the University of Tennessee seek to expand opportunities for joint research, training, and the development of innovative scientific projects.
