POV: you realise MCH is a master degree built different.
Instead of the usual chaos of architecture studio, lectures and deadlines all running at the same time, students work through focused workshop sprints, each one dedicated to a specific topic around collective housing.
And the best part?
You don’t just listen to renowned architects for one lecture.
You work with them for a whole week.
Add study trips, real housing references, Madrid, Zurich, and an international network, and suddenly the master feels much closer to practice than a traditional academic schedule.
For architecture students looking for something more focused, more intense and more connected to the real questions of housing today, MCH applications are open.

Not every architecture master is structured the same.
At MCH, students don’t just move between studios, lectures and deadlines all happening at once.
The program is built around intensive workshop sprints focused on collective housing, each guided by a different renowned architect.
Not just one guest lecture.
A full week of designing, discussing, testing ideas and getting feedback directly from people shaping the field.
Together with study trips, real housing references, and the connection between ETH Zurich and ETSAM Madrid, MCH creates a different kind of learning environment: focused, international and deeply connected to practice.
For architects who want to understand housing through design, research and real experience, applications are open.

What does architectural education look like when you leave the classroom?
During the third day of the MCH Zürich trip, students visited offices and built projects by Boltshauser Architekten and E2A Architekten.
The day included the Sihlhölzl project, the Beistlich Apartment Building, Deaconry Bethanien, and office visits with both practices.
These visits allow students to connect design decisions with built housing, office processes, and the realities of architectural practice.
At MCH, learning extends beyond the studio through direct access to architects, projects, and cities shaping collective housing today.
Applications are now open.
