Arrival Day on August 28th is coming up!
You're coming here to explore Madrid, Spain, and beyond. That's why Suffolk - Madrid offers a two-part orientation: four days to get to know your new home and campus, and four days in another scenic Spanish destination to explore the culture and your fellow students.
Your orientation sessions will focus on academic expectations, housing, transportation around town, Spanish social customs, and other information to help you transition to life in Madrid – followed by a four-day trip to an exciting destination outside Madrid where you'll explore another exciting Spanish city with new friends through fun activities and cultural events.
The Welcome Trip—which is included for all students in their program fee—is the best way for you to get introduced to Spain and some of its most scenic locales, Our goal is to introduce you to the best of Spanish culture: its cuisine, history, music, and customs.
The destination changes every semester, but it’s always somewhere exciting. You might watch the dancers’ feet fly at a live flamenco performance in Córdoba, stroll through the ornate streets in Salamanca, take a paella cooking class, relax on Mediterranean beaches, or take an easy hike for breathtaking views.
Our eight-day academic and cultural orientation will help you get settled into our campus and prepare you for the semester ahead.
