“Now I know exactly where I am headed,” says Alexa Couttolenc, one of four students who just represented IE Law School at the 2026 Jessup Competition in Washington, D.C.

The team placed in the top 6% worldwide in their first international appearance, among 700 law schools from 100+ countries.

London Immersion Week, Day 1 🇬🇧

Our Master of Laws (LL.M.) students specializing in International Business Law have officially landed in London, and the week started strong.

From Madrid to Liverpool Street, the first day included real international exposure and direct engagement with leading global firms. At Simmons & Simmons, students explored legal design and how to make the law more accessible and adaptable in today’s profession. In the afternoon, Skadden hosted a deep dive into SPACs, mergers and complex transactions, followed by a hands-on case study and networking with professionals.

Classroom learning, now applied in one of the world’s leading legal markets. Stay tuned for Day 2!

How is generative AI reshaping the legal profession?

IE Law School welcomed Gabe Pereyra, cofounder and president of Harvey, for a LawAhead Center session exploring the challenges and opportunities AI brings to legal practice. Designed specifically for the legal sector, Harvey is transforming how law firms and academic institutions approach research, training and the delivery of legal services.

The conversation touched on data governance, security, talent development and the evolution of legal workflows, while also highlighting the continued importance of human judgment and strategic thinking in high-level legal work.

It’s part of AI and the Law, IE Law School’s ongoing initiative examining how artificial intelligence is redefining the legal profession.
