El proyecto Erasmus+ Lit-Future organiza el cuarto seminario online del proyecto: “Contesting the Climate Unthinkable”

🌎 En este nuevo webinar se presentará el libro "Contesting the Climate Unthinkable: Latin American Cultural Responses to a Warming World", publicado por la Universidad de Florida en 2025 y se debatirá con sus editores y algunos de sus autores/as.
El libro «Contesting the Climate Unthinkable: Latin American Cultural Responses to a Warming World», editado por Azucena Castro (Universidad Rice), Gianfranco Selgas (KTH Royal Institute of Technology) y Ken Benson (Universidad de Estocolmo), reúne diversas voces para examinar cómo artistas, escritores y pensadores de toda Latinoamérica visibilizan y dan sentido a la crisis climática, revelando cómo las historias, los relatos y la estética configuran nuestra comprensión de la transformación y la justicia ambiental. Esta charla presentará los temas clave del libro, destacando estudios de caso y abriendo un espacio para el debate sobre cómo la cultura puede replantear lo que antes parecía impensable.
El evento reunirá a los editores del libro junto con los colaboradores Victoria Saramago (Universidad de Chicago), José Carlos Díaz Zanelli (Hamilton College) y Roberto Robalinho (Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro), y será moderado por Juan Carlos Cruz Suárez (Universidad de Estocolmo).

🌎 This webinar will present the book "Contesting the Climate Unthinkable: Latin American Cultural Responses to a Warming World," published by the University of Florida in 2025, and will include a discussion with its editors and some of its authors.
The book "Contesting the Climate Unthinkable: Latin American Cultural Responses to a Warming World," edited by Azucena Castro (Rice University), Gianfranco Selgas (KTH Royal Institute of Technology), and Ken Benson (Stockholm University), brings together diverse voices to examine how artists, writers, and thinkers from across Latin America make the climate crisis visible and meaningful, revealing how stories, narratives, and aesthetics shape our understanding of transformation and environmental justice. This talk will present the book's key themes, highlighting case studies and opening a space for discussion on how culture can reframe what once seemed unthinkable.
The event will bring together the book's editors along with contributors Victoria Saramago (University of Chicago), José Carlos Díaz Zanelli (Hamilton College), and Roberto Robalinho (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), and will be moderated by Juan Carlos Cruz Suárez (Stockholm University).
