☕️Connecting Escola Global’s community, one coffee at a time! 🌎🌿

Last week, we kicked off this school year’s EG Community Contacts Morning Coffee with a wonderful morning of connection, collaboration and fresh ideas! 💙

It was lovely to see our families come together, share suggestions and getting involved in school initiatives and activities.

The enthusiasm and positive energy reflected our shared commitment to building an even stronger and more connected Escola Global community. ✨
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed with their ideas.

Together, we’re making our community an even more special place to belong! 🌍

📚✨ A school full of readers is a school full of possibilities!

In line with Escola Global’s strong reading culture, we were delighted to welcome English Libros | Book Fair back to our community for another fantastic book fair!

From curious little readers to passionate teens (and plenty of enthusiastic parents!), there was something for everyone📖💛

And why do we love reading so much? These are just a few of the endless reasons for it:
🧠 Reading strengthens your brain. It improves concentration, memory and critical thinking.
💭 Reading boosts empathy. Stepping into different characters’ worlds helps us understand other people and perspectives.
😌 Reading helps you relax. Even a few minutes with a good book can reduce stress and help your mind switch off.

So, whether you’re 2 or 18, a student or a parent, there’s always a good reason to pick up a book. 🌍📚

Keep reading. Keep wondering. Keep discovering. ❤️

The teenage years come with a lot of change, and school is one of the places where much of it happens.

It is where young people test ideas, build independence, form friendships and gradually become more comfortable in their own skin. Some of the most important moments are not always the obvious ones. A conversation on the way to class, a joke with friends, a sense of being known and accepted.

Feeling that you belong can make all the difference.

We are delighted to welcome Eduardo Torrecillas to the Escola Global community as our new Principal!

Eduardo brings extensive experience in international education, school leadership, academic standards, accreditation and educational improvement, having served as Head of Academic Standards and Improvement, Head of Accreditation, IB Diploma Programme Coordinator and Cognia Coordinator.

Originally from Spain, Eduardo’s educational journey has taken him to the United States, where he studied Kinesiology and Exercise and Nutritional Sciences at San Diego State University and later completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University. He has worked across a range of educational settings, including San Diego State University, Miramar College, Mission Bay High School and, most recently, Gresol International American School.

Sport, exercise and wellbeing have always been an important part of Eduardo’s life and professional interests. Additionally, Eduardo’s passion for organizational leadership has focused on the influence of leadership on teachers’ wellbeing. This reflects his belief that strong leadership and a positive school environment are essential for fostering educators and students to thrive.

At the heart of his educational philosophy is the belief that every student deserves access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to discover and reach their full potential. As he begins this new chapter at Escola Global, Eduardo is looking forward to listening, learning and collaborating with students, families and staff to build on the school’s strengths and continue its journey of growth and excellence.

“I am incredibly excited to join Escola Global and begin this journey together with the whole community. I look forward to listening, learning and working collaboratively to build on the wonderful work already taking place at the school.”

Welcome to Escola Global, Edu! We are very excited to have you with us.
