Centro Universitario Internacional UPO The International Center offers programs for International Students at Pablo de Olavide University in Sevilla

The International Center Was officially founded in 2002. The Center currently offers a variety of programs open to students from all over the world. The most popular is the semester-long Hispanic Studies Program with courses both in Spanish and in English. The Center also offers the University Integration Program (P.I.U.) for students with advanced Spanish language skills, courses in the teaching

of Spanish as a foreign language, and Spanish language courses throughout the year. As of March 1, 2008, the Center is accredited by the Cervantes Institute.

Yesterday’s translation class was a bit different🌟. Some Spanish students joined us for a transcreation activity!
We got some really creative results, lots of different perspectives, and a very fun class!🌎📚

👏 It was a pleasure to welcome Peter Mikek, Professor of Economics and Department Chair at Wabash College, along with his group of 17 students, to a lecture on “Understanding Spanish Growth and Development: Productivity Dynamics and Regional Disparities.”, delivered by Victoria Osuna Padilla, Professor of Economics at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, de Sevilla.

We were also delighted to have 4 UPO Spanish students join the discussion, enriching the exchange with local perspectives.

A great example of international academic collaboration and meaningful dialogue in economics. 🚀

Even though we already met, we wanted you to know a bit more about us and our favourite things about Spanish culture!💃

We’re in our last year here at UPO studying Translation and Interpreting, and our working languages are 🇬🇧English, 🇮🇹Italian and 🇫🇷French.

Even though we aren’t from Seville, it has become our second home, and we hope it will also be yours! So enjoy your stay to the fullest and immerse yourselves in Andalucía (and the rest of Spain🇪🇸) —and of course we’re here to show you all the best spots in town ;).
