Master in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Energy - URV

Master in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Energy - URV This master’s degree aims to train professionals able to deal with sustainable production and products, as well as a complete management of resources.

The objective of this Master is to train professionals able to address the sustainability of products and processes and implement integrated management of resources and energy, to cover the demand from the industry, public administration and service companies, consultancy and engineering, primarily. We are intending to form new professionals whose mission is the analysis, prevention and correction

of environmental damage. This is possible with the use of adecuate tools, like Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or Cleaner Production (CP), whose tools are learned soundly in the master, among others, besides the application of advanced techniques for the management of wastes and wastewaters.

Today has taken place in the facilities of DOW Tarragona, the ceremony of the 7th edition of the "DOW Sustainability Award", an initiative undertaken by DOW Chemical Ibérica and the School of Chemical Engineering (ETSEQ), aimed at students of the Master in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Energy (MEESE). The winning team has presented a summary of the awarded project in front of several representatives of DOW company and the URV. We deeply thank DOW for the organization of the event and their continued collaboration with the master. Congratulations, Hammam, Francesc, Ajay, David and Jordi!!

Some days ago the students of the master visited Ecoparc2, a municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plant located close to Barcelona, with a capacity to treat 160.000 t/y of Mixed Waste (grey container), 100.000 t/y of organic waste (brown container) and 27.000 of packging Waste (yellow container).
