In collaboration with artist, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music director Roy Studmire aka International Show, the program built a shared space for learning, creation, and exchange.

Berklee Valencia students performed “Song of a Dream,” an original composition by student Brady Thomas, during the concert Illusions, held at CaixaForum València.

Thomas composed “Song of a Dream” during a summer trip to his hometown in Ohio, where he was inspired by the surrounding nature and the endless hills and fields that gave him a sense of adventure and wonder while growing up. He sought to capture that feeling in this composition through the melody’s constant rising and falling motion, meant to evoke winding hills.

The concert featured a series of original works by students in the Contemporary Performance program (Production Concentration). Under the supervision of program director Olga Román, students took the artistic lead in shaping the production, creating arrangements, and artist-directing the show.
