Today we celebrated our closing ceremony 🎓

We’re not big fans of goodbyes… and even less this time. We’re not only saying goodbye to an amazing group, but also to someone very special to us: Jesús Peris, who after 29 years has taught much more than his subject, he has shared our culture, our Fallas, and VALENCIA itself. Today he is saying goodbye to this chapter at UVA Valencia. Thank you for all these years with us, and best of luck in what comes next.

And to all of you, thank you for these past months, for everything you’ve shared, and for being part of this experience.
Valencia will always be your home ❤️

Today our business class students visited Bodega Vicente Gandía at Finca Hoya de Cárdenas 🍇.
They had the chance to see the full process, from the vineyard to the final product, and learn how everything works behind the scenes.

his past Saturday we traveled to Morella for a sunny day full of history and great views ☀️

We explored the town with local guides, walked through its beautiful streets, and made our way up to the castle to enjoy the incredible views from the top. After the visit, there was some free time to keep discovering this special place at our own pace.

Today we learned how to cook an authentic Valencian paella 🥘.
With the help of professional chefs, we also made a Spanish omelet and a coca en llanda. Lots of laughs, snacks along the way, and a really fun time together in the kitchen! 😄

The closing ceremony for the semester in Valencia began with a few words from our Academic Director to officially start the event.

Our students then received their certificates from the Director and all the faculty, marking the end of four unforgettable months in the city.

A special moment was when Laura and Diego shared their experiences in Valencia — what a surprise and so many laughs for everyone! Thank you both for sharing.

We also had a farewell speech by our mathematics professor, Luis Requeni, who reminded us of Thomas Jefferson, the founder of the University of Virginia in 1819, connecting the university’s origins with the experience our students have had here.

Safe travels back home, and remember that Valencia will always be your home ❤️✈️

We spent this past weekend in Granada, and it was a great mix of everything: wandering through the Albaicín, visiting the Alhambra, catching a flamenco show, and even seeing the city’s Christmas lights switch on.
Such a cool way to enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. ✨
