Mekane Yesus Seminary Conducts 2025 Annual Review and 2026 Planning Retreat
Mekane Yesus Seminary successfully conducted its 2025 Annual Review and 2026 Annual Plan Retreat Meeting from December 26–28, 2025, for three days at Yatu International Hotel, Bishoftu.
The retreat brought together the Seminary’s leadership and key academic and administrative officers, including the President and Academic/Vice President; Deans of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies; Dean of Students; Alumni and Chaplaincy Office; Directors of Planning and Development, Operations, MTh & PhD Programs, MYS-GTRP, and other academic units; Associate Deans of DoDE, TEE, and Music & Media/Film; as well as the Head of the National Theological Education Accreditation Office.
During the meeting, all program directors presented their 2025 annual performance reviews and outlined their 2026 annual plans. Constructive comments, reflections, and suggestions were shared to enhance program effectiveness and to further strengthen the Seminary’s academic and institutional future.
In addition to the review and planning sessions, the Seminary leaders also conducted a visit to the Bishoftu Campus as part of the retreat activities.
The retreat meeting was successfully completed, fostering mutual learning through shared experiences and collaborative discussions. Participants gained valuable insights from one another, reinforcing a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. This practice will continue as Mekane Yesus Seminary moves forward in strengthening its vision and mission in service of the Church in Ethiopia and beyond.
