ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ለ2019 ዓ.ም የሬሜዲያል መርሐ ግብር ተማሪዎች ወደ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ለመግባት የሚያስችላቸውን የመቁረጫ ነጥብ ይፋ አድርጓል።

በዚህ መሰረት ዩኒቲ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በሬሚዲያል መርሐ ግብር በተፈጥሮ ሳይንስ እና በማህበራዊ ሳይንስ የሚማሩ ተማሪዎችን ተቀብሎ ለማስተማር እና ለማብቃት ምዝገባ ጀምሯል፡፡

በዩኒቲ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ቡራዩ ቅርንጫፍ የ12ኛ ክፍል ፈተና ከወሰዱ ተማሪዎች ከ84 በመቶ በላይ አለፉ

በዩኒቲ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ቡራዩ ቅርንጫፍ 2ኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት በ2018 የትምህርት ዘመን የ12ኛ ክፍል ሀገር አቀፍ ፈተና ከወሰዱ ተማሪዎች ከ84 በመቶ በላይ የሚሆኑት አልፈዋል፡፡

በቡራዩ ቅርንጫፍ ለፈተና ከተቀመጡ 43 ተማሪዎች 38ቱ ወደ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሚያስገባቸውን በቂ ውጤት አምጥተዋል፡፡

ቀሪዎቹ አምስት ተማሪዎች የሪሚዲያል መግቢያ ውጤት አስመዝግበዋል፡፡

533.64 በ2018 የትምህርት ዘመን በትምህርት ቤቱ የተመዘገበው ከፍተኛው ውጤት ሲሆን 23 ተማሪዎች ደግሞ ከ400 በላይ አምጥተዋል፡፡

Unity University Partners with HR360 Ethiopia to Prepare Students for the World of Work

Unity University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HR360 Ethiopia to strengthen the professional habits, confidence, and workplace readiness of final-year students and recent graduates.

Through its daily work in recruitment, screening, interviewing, and placement, HR360 Ethiopia sees first-hand how capable graduates experience the transition from university to employment.

The partnership will provide Unity University students with opportunities to better understand current employer expectations and develop the practical skills needed to successfully transition from university to employment.

Through the collaboration, students will have access to career-readiness activities, recruitment insights, employer engagement, internships, entry-level employment pathways, and practical exposure to the workplace.

The MoU signed on August 19,2026, will also focus on helping students to improve the quality of CVs, LinkedIn profiles, applications, interviews, and professional communication.

By bringing industry and recruitment perspectives closer to students before graduation, the initiative is expected to help them build greater confidence and develop professional habits that can strengthen their competitiveness in the job market.

For Unity University, the MoU provides an opportunity to complement its academic programs with practical career support and strengthen the connection between education and employment.

Summer Space Training Kicks off at Unity University

The Ethiopian Space Science Society (ESSS) has launched a Summer Space Training program at Unity University, on August 31, 2026.

The training is being offered to students who were in Grades 7–12 during the 2018 E.C. academic year.

The program aims to give students a basic understanding of Astronomy, Satellite Technology, and Aerospace Engineering through theoretical sessions, practical labs, and research activities.

The opening ceremony was marked by a speech from Dr. Arega Yirdaw, President and CEO of Unity University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ethiopian Space Science Society (ESSS).

In his opening remarks, Dr. Arega emphasized the importance of encouraging young people's interest and knowledge in space science to help advance the sector in Ethiopia.

He noted that scientific fields, like space science are becoming increasingly important globally.

He further highlighted the need to focus on young people to build the knowledge and skills required for Ethiopia to become a notable player in the space science and technology sector.

The training will be held from August 31 to September 4, 2026, for five consecutive days.

Unity University Participates in National Workshop Focused on Ethiopia’s Nuclear Energy Program

Unity University participated in a national workshop focused on stakeholder engagement strategy and communication planning for Ethiopia’s nuclear energy program.

The workshop was held at the Best Western Premier Hotel and organized by the Ethiopian Nuclear Energy Commission (ENEC) in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The workshop brought together key stakeholders to strengthen strategic communication and public engagement around Ethiopia’s nuclear energy development.

The program featured discussions and practical exercises on stakeholder engagement, media relations, spokesperson skills, effective communication, and strategies for addressing misinformation and building public trust.

As an institution committed to education, knowledge, and community engagement, Unity University remains supportive of national initiatives that contribute to Ethiopia’s scientific, technological, and economic development.

Power and Leadership: Dr. Arega Yirdaw’s Insights on Organizational Performance

Dr. Arega Yirdaw, President and CEO of Unity University, participated as a guest speaker in a leadership training organized by the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) for its Senior Executive Management, Regional Heads, and Zonal Heads.

During the training, Dr. Arega shared practical insights on organizational structure, leadership, and the critical role of leaders in driving organizational effectiveness and transformation.

Dr. Arega used the example of a computer to explain the importance of leadership in an organization. Just as software, hardware, and power are essential for a computer to function, manpower, materials, and leadership are fundamental to the effective performance of an institution.

He stressed that just as a computer cannot function without power, an institution cannot perform effectively without strong leadership.

“Without electricity (power), no computer works. Without leadership, no institution performs as it should.”

The training, held from August 12–13, 2026, in Addis Ababa, aimed to strengthen the leadership capacity of ERCS leaders and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead teams, manage organizational responsibilities, and drive institutional transformation.

With extensive leadership experience, including his former role as CEO of MIDROC Technology Group and his current position as President and CEO of Unity University, Dr. Arega Yirdaw continues to share his leadership journey and practical insights with current and emerging leaders.

Drawing from his extensive leadership experience, Dr. Arega has also authored a book entitled “Managing Organizational Structure”, which provides practical insights and guidance for organizational leaders.
