The seven different types of architects and what they do.

An architect is a person who designs buildings and in many cases also supervises their construction. To be an architect you need to possess skills and knowledge in a wide range of areas including design, construction, critical thinking, mathematics and communication.

1. Residential architecture

Residential architects design homes, working with homeowners to design a custom home or adjust the design or layout of an existing home.

A residential architect will often work with developers and home-building companies, such as when a developer is building a large housing development, the residential architect will plan and design the houses within the development specifications.

It’s the residential architect’s job to estimate costs and materials, too.

Introduction
Construction Technology and management is a great art, on which the wealth and wellbeing of the whole society depends. It’s essential feature, as distinct from science and the arts, is the exercise of imagination to in molding the products, processes and people who need to create a sustainable physical and natural built environment. It requires a broad understanding of scientific principles, knowledge of materials and the art of analysis and synthesis. It also requires research, team work leadership and business skills. A Construction Technology and management is someone who practice all or part of this art in the Institute of Construction Technology and management.
In a developing country like Ethiopia, Construction Technology and management has a great role and contribution to the economic development and improvement of the living standard of the people. As infrastructural developments are indicators of improved livelihood and ways of investment attractions and tourism, contribution of Construction Technology and management in this regard is very crucial.
