Comprehensive Orientation Program Conducted for Senior Students

A comprehensive orientation program was successfully conducted for senior students to prepare them for the upcoming academic year. The sessions were organized at both college and school levels, involving the College of Natural Resources and Agricultural Economics, the College of Agriculture, the School of Commerce, and the School of Social Studies.
The training was led by the respective deans of the colleges and schools, supported by a dedicated team of instructors.
Participants were briefed on Mattu Universityβs Vision, Mission, and Strategic Priorities. A significant portion of the training focused on academic excellence, covering Teaching, Learning, and Assessment methodologies, as well as the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Student Learning Outcomes.
To foster a professional environment, the deans emphasized Academic Integrity and Examination Ethics. The sessions also detailed Student Rights and Responsibilities, the University Code of Conduct, and the various Student Support and Welfare Services available on campus.
The trainers highlighted the university commitment to modern education by introducing students to Library and Information Resources, ICT infrastructure, and the Learning Management System (LMS).
Moving beyond the classroom, the orientation also covered Academic Advising and Student Mentorship. Students were informed about opportunities for Internship, Practicum, and Community Engagement, ensuring they are well prepared for professional life after graduation.
The program concluded with an interactive session in which students acknowledged the orientationβs importance in supporting their study. Participants provided constructive suggestions and submitted inquiries regarding specific services they wish to see enhanced. The college and school deans expressed the university's commitment to addressing these needs to ensure a productive academic environment.
