Research Seminar Workshop

The campus successfully hosted a research seminar workshop organized by the Office of Research, Publication, Ethics, and Dissemination, which was open to all instructors of the campus.
The event centered on the grand theme: “Scientific Contributions for Sustainable Development and Food Security.”
The seminar commenced with a keynote address by Asst. Prof. Legesu Girshe, Chief Executive Director of the campus. He commended the research coordinators for their efforts in facilitating the call for papers and streamlining academic research procedures.
Asst. Prof. Legesu emphasized that the primary objective of the seminar was to provide a platform for academicians to share experiences, exchange cutting-edge knowledge, and foster institutional cooperation.
Looking forward, he recommended expanding the workshop's scope to include student researchers to further enrich the university's academic culture.
Asst. Prof. Jabessa Ayele, the Campus Research, Publication, Ethics, and Dissemination Coordinator, outlined the seminar’s thematic areas and specific objectives in detail before the presentations.
From seven initial submissions, five research works and review papers from the colleges and schools of the campus were successfully presented.
Each session was characterized by rigorous scientific dialogue.
Participants gained knowledge and experience and provided constructive feedback, allowing presenters to refine their research work.
Certificates of participation was awarded to the presenters.
The seminar was concluded by Mr. Endale Duguma, Assistant Secretary of the Campus. In his closing remarks, he expressed gratitude to the participants for their active engagement. He underscored the university’s commitment to put research findings into practical, real-world solutions aimed at solving societal challenges and improving community well-being.
