ኢትዮጵያ እየተከተለችው ያለው ብዝሃ መር የኢኮኖሚ ልማት ስትራቴጂ ተጨባጭ ውጤት እያመጣ ነው

ዲላ፤ ጳጉሜን 1/2018 (ኢዜአ) ፦ኢትዮጵያ እየተከተለችው ያለው ብዝሃ መር የኢኮኖሚ ልማት ስትራቴጂ ተጨባጭ ውጤት እያመጣ መሆኑን ኢዜአ ያነጋገራቸው የዘርፉ ምሁራን ገለጹ።

ቀደም ሲል በግብርና መር ኢኮኖሚ ልማት ላይ ተወስና የቆየችው ኢትዮጵያ በመደመር መንግሥት ወደ ብዝሃመር የኢኮኖሚ ልማት ስትራቴጂ ተሸጋግራለች።

የኢትዮጵያን እምቅ የመልማት አቅሞች በመገንዘብ የግብርና ልማትን ጨምሮ በኢንዱስትሪ፣ ቱሪዝም፣ አይሲቲና የማዕድን ዘርፍ ዋነኛ የልማት ምሰሶዎች ሆነው እየተሰራባቸው ይገኛሉ።

በእነዚህ ዘርፎችም ላይ በተሰሩ ስራዎች ሀገሪቱ እመርታዊ እድገትና ማንሰራራት ላይ ለመሆኗ በርካታ ተጨባጭ ማሳያዎችን መጥቀስ ይቻላል።

በዲላ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንትና የተፈጥሮ ሃብት ተመራማሪ ሐብታሙ ተመስገን (ዶ/ር)፤ የልማት ስትራቴጂው ብዝሃ መሆኑ እና ሀገር በቀል የማክሮ ኢኮኖሚ ሪፎርም መደረጉ ለተመዘገበው ስኬት የላቀ ትርጉም አለው ብለዋል።

የብዝሃ ኢኮኖሚ እድገት አማራጭን ከመከተል ባለፈ በተለይም በግብርናው ዘርፍ አዳዲስ ኢንሼቲቮችን በመተግበርና ምርታማነትን በማሳደግ ረገድ ትልቅ እመርታ መታየቱን አስረድተዋል።

በስንዴ ልማት፣ በቡና ልማት፣ በአትክልትና ፍራፍሬ እንዲሁም ሌሎች የግብርና ዘርፎች ውጤቱና ስኬቱ አስደናቂ መሆኑን ነው ያነሱት።

የተፈጥሮ ሃብትና መሬት አስተዳደር ተመራማሪና የጌዴኦ ዞን ዋና አስተዳዳሪ ዝናቡ ወልዴ (ዶ/ር) በበኩላቸው እንዳሉት ፤ እምቅ የተፈጥሮ ሃብቶችን በመጠቀም እየተሄደበት ያለው የልማት ዕቅድ በአጭር ጊዜ ውጤት አምጥቷል።

በተለይም በግብርናው ዘርፍ የተጀመረው የተቀናጀ የልማት ጥረት የአርሶ አደሩን ተጠቃሚነትና በቤተሰብ ደረጃ የምግብ ዋስትናን ለማረጋገጥ መሰረት መሆኑን አንስተዋል።

ከመደበኛ የምርት ወቅት በተጨማሪ የመስኖ ልማት ሥራዎች ተጠናክረው መቀጠላቸውን ገልጸው፣ የዘርፉ እመርታ በተጠናከረ መልኩ እንደሚቀጥልም ያላቸውን እምነት ተናግረዋል።

Regular Research Proposal Defense Held at Dilla University

Dilla University has conducted its 2019 Regular Research Proposal Defense Session, with presentations held under the institution’s five core research themes.

Over the two-day program, scholars presented proposals designed to address pressing challenges and offer practical solutions, undergoing rigorous review and evaluation across multiple stages.

Habtamu Temesgen (PhD), Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting researchers with the resources they need.

He noted the growing participation of faculty members in research activities and highlighted the importance of strengthening problem-solving projects that can inform science, policy, and society.

He further pointed out that the university is advancing digital systems to modernize research processes, including proposal calls, evaluations, and related procedures, reducing reliance on paper based methods.

Misganu Legesse (PhD), Director of Research, Publication, Ethics, and Dissemination, remarked that this year’s program was conducted earlier than usual, ensuring researchers have sufficient time and support to refine their work.

He confirmed that 113 proposals were presented and evaluated under the five thematic areas, reflecting the university’s focused research agenda.

The sessions brought together college and department leaders, research coordinators, and evaluators, underscoring Dilla University’s growing research culture and institutional commitment to academic excellence.

በዲላ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በ2018ዓ.ም በተለያዩ የሳይንስ ዘርፎች በስቴም ማዕከል የሰለጠኑ ከ300 በላይ ሰልጣኞች ተመርቀዋል።

የዲላ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የኢንዱስትሪ ግንኙነት እና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ዳይሬክቶሬት ዳይረክተር አዲሱ ፍርንጆ (ዶ/ር) ባደረጉት ንግግር፣ ማዕከሉ ባጠቃላይ ከ3500 በላይ ተማሪዎችን አሰልጥኖ ማስመረቁን እና የማዕከሉ ምሩቃንም ባሁኑ ጊዜ ጥሩ ደረጃ ላይ እንደሚገኙ ገልፀዋል።

አክለውም በዛሬው ዕለት የተመረቁ ከ300 በላይ ተማሪዎች በክረምት፣ በሳምንቱ መጨረሻ እንዲሁም በጂኦስፖሻል ስልጠናና በተለያዩ ዘርፎች ስልጠናውን ተከታትለው ለምረቃ መብቃታቸውን ጠቁመዋል።

ማዕከሉ ጥራት ያለው ስልጠናዎችን ስለሚሰጥ፣ ባሳለፍነው ዓመት በEmerging technology በሀገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ሁለተኛ ደረጃ ይዞ ማጠናቀቁን ጠቁመው፣ ተማሪዎች የሳይንስ ፈጠራ እውቀታቸው እንዲጎለብት ዩኒቨርሲቲው የተለያዩ ድጋፎችን እያደረገ እንደሚገኝ አውስተዋል።

ሰልጣኞች እዚህ ያገኙትን እውቀት ወደየ ትምህርት ቤቶቻቸው ሲመለሱ ለሌሎችም እንዲያካፍሉ እና የሳይንስ ፈጣሪ ዜጎችን እንዲፈጥሩም አደራ ብለዋል። በቀጣይ ዓመት ወደ ማዕከሉ ሲመጡም አዳዲስ ፕሮጀክቶችን ይዘው እንዲመጡ ዳይሬክተሩ አሳስበዋል።

የደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል የኢኖቬሽንና ቴክኖሎጂ ቢሮ ምክትል ቢሮ ኃላፊ አቶ ዘላለም ጳውሎስ በበኩላቸው፣ የጅኦስፓሻል ስልጠና በሀገር እና በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ተወዳዳሪ ዜጎችን ለመፍጠር ባለድርሻ አካላት ተባብረው ያዘጋጁት እንዲሁም የሚደግፉት ስልጠና መሆኑን አውስተዋል። ዲላ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በዚህ ረገድ ተጽህኖ ፈጣሪ ዜጎችን እየፈጠረ እንደሚገኝ ገልፀው፣ ዩኒቨርሲቲው በትውልድ ላይ እየሰራ ላለውና እየተመዘገበ ላለው የሚጨበጥ ለውጥ በክልሉ ስም አመስግነዋል።

በተለይ በክረምቱ የተሰጠው የጂኦስፓሻል ስልጠናን በየዓመቱ ለመስጠት እቅድ ስለመኖሩ የገለፁት ኃላፊው፣ የሰለጠኑ ተማሪዎች እድሉን ላላገኙ ወንድሞቻቸው ያገኙትን እውቀት እንዲያገሩ አደራ ብለዋል።

የጌዴኦ ዞን የኢኖቬሽንና ቴክኖሎጂ መምሪያ ኃላፊ አቶ ደረጄ ሾንጣ ተመራቂ ተማሪዎችን እንኳን ለምረቃ ቀናችሁ አደረሳችሁ ብለዋቸዋል። ኃላፊው አክለውም በዚህ ጊዜ ላይ ዓለም በቴክኖሎጂ ዘርፍ ውድድር ላይ እንደምትገኝ ጠቁመው፣ ኢትዮጵያ በዚህ ዘርፍ ላይ በዓለም ደረጃ ተወዳዳሪ ለመሆን በልዩ ትኩረት እየሰራች ትገኛለች ብለዋል።

ዩኒቨርሲቲው በተለያዩ ጊዜያት ላይ እንደ ሀገር የተያዘው እቅድ ከግብ እንዲደርስ የበኩሉን ሚና እየተወጣ እንደሚገኝ አውስተዋል።

ወቅቱ ቴክኖሎጂ የየለት ስራዎቻችን ጋር የበለጠ የተቆራኘበት በመሆኑ፣ ተማሪዎች ከዚህ ሲመለሱ ማህበረሰቡ ጋር ያሉ ችግሮችን በቅርበት በመከታተል ንድፈ ሀሳብ በማዘጋጀት ችግር ፈቺ ፕሮጀክቶችን እንዲያስቡ ጥሪ ያቀረቡት ኃላፊው ዞኑ እንዲሁም በየደረጃው የሚገኙ አካላት ድጋፍ እንደሚያደርጉ አውስተዋል።

በመድረኩ ለ45 ቀናት በስፔስ እና ጂኦስፓሽያል ዘርፍ ላይ ስልጠና ሲወስዱ የነበሩ ተማሪዎችም ተመርቀዋል። በስልጠናው ወቅት ከፍተኛ ውጤት ላስመዘገቡ ተማሪዎች የእውቅና የምስክር ወረቀት እና የማበረታቻ ሽልማት ተበርክቶላቸዋል።

Wonago-HDSS Represents Dilla University at Landmark National Health Surveillance MoU

Dilla University’s Wonago Health and Demographic Surveillance System (Wonago-HDSS) has marked a historic milestone in national health research by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading health institutions and academic partners in Addis Ababa.

The event, organized under the Impact HDSS Ethiopia Project, brought together senior officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), and representatives from 14 public universities, one college, and 15 surveillance sites. Collectively, the network monitors health and demographic data for nearly 1.4 million people across more than 256,000 households, strengthening Ethiopia’s evidence base for public health policy.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Mesay Hailu, Director General of EPHI, underscored the importance of integrating surveillance centers through standardized digital platforms to improve cause-of-death reporting, disease surveillance, and outbreak response. He acknowledged the pivotal support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Vital Strategies in advancing this initiative.

Dr. Muluken Argaw, Strategic Lead Executive Office Director at the Ministry of Health, emphasized that the new network creates a direct bridge between community-generated population data and national health strategies, ensuring that local realities inform policy decisions.

Representing Dilla University, Dr. Habtamu Temesgen, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, signed the MoU on behalf of Wonago-HDSS and contributed to high-level panel discussions.

He highlighted the strategic importance of building a national network for evidence-based policymaking, stressing that data quality must remain a top priority. Dr. Habtamu further urged leaders to address capacity gaps by ensuring all HDSS sites, particularly new centers, have dedicated data managers to safeguard integrity and reliability.

Through this landmark partnership, Dilla University reaffirms its commitment to impactful population health research and institutional excellence, positioning Wonago-HDSS as a vital contributor to Ethiopia’s national health surveillance system.

Research Proposal Defense Underway at Dilla University

Dilla University has opened its Regular Research Proposal Defense Session for 2019 E.C, a flagship academic event where 113 proposals will be presented and reviewed under the institution’s five core research themes.

University officials emphasized that this year’s defense is proceeding on schedule, a timely move that ensures research projects begin without delay and that grants are released as planned.

The first day of the session featured defenses under Theme 3: Health and Well‑Being, and Theme 4: Quality Education, reflecting the university’s commitment to advancing public health and educational excellence.

Defenses will continue with proposals under Theme 1: Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability, Theme 2: Natural Resources and Environment, and Theme 5: Transdisciplinary Research.

The program is scheduled to run through Saturday, offering scholars a platform to receive constructive feedback, strengthen their proposals, and contribute to the university’s growing research culture.
