--Update on the Covid-19 Situation 2.2.2021--
We are writing this statement with heavy hearts. Unfortunately, at our Ice Skating event held on January 30th at 11:00-17:00, there has been a student who has later tested positive for Covid-19.
Even though the event was held outdoors and safe distances were maintained to the best of our capabilities, we cannot eliminate the risk of the spread of Covid-19. The group this particular student was a part of was Ice Skating from 11:00 to 13:00. Those in the same group have already been informed. But we also encourage everyone who was skating with us or spent time in Tapiolan Jääpuisto from 11:00 to 13:00 to minimize all contacts, monitor your health and get tested if any symptoms of infectious disease appear.
If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, get tested and stay home until you get a negative test result and are symptom free.

Additionally, if you test positive for coronavirus within 10 days from attending one of our events, please inform us immediately by contacting any KY-Sub member. Please also contact your tutor immediately.
-Lapland Trip-
In light of these events and our Lapland Trip being only a one week away, we have decided to cancel the trip for the safety of everyone.
It has also come to our attention, that there are possibly other exchange students that have caught the virus. Since there are possibly many of us who have already caught the virus as well as many who have been exposed to the virus, it would be extremely irresponsible for us to organize this trip. Travelling to Lapland would not only endanger all of our health but also those in Lapland at the same time.
You can get a full refund on your tickets. Send your full name and bank account number to [email protected]. All tickets sold by us will be refunded fully. Those organizing their own transportation will be contacted shortly and we will do our best to help you.
Activities bought on kide.app will be refunded automatically. You can expect your money back in a few weeks.

If you have a Finnish bank account, you can book a testing time at koronabotti.hus.fi/en/. Otherwise you can book a testing time by calling +358 9 816 36400 (Espoo) or +358 9 310 10024 (Helsinki).
We are very sorry for the current situation and for having to cancel the trip. Hopefully we can return to normal as soon as possible. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
