It's a lovely wintery day in Joensuu and we are looking forward to summer! UEF Summer School 2023 will be hosted at Joensuu campus on 7-18 August 2023.

Applications will be open from 1 March until 15 June with rolling admission: see our course offerings for 2023 on our website and apply!

Today we visited Koli national park and a Finnish farm in Juuka, where we were able to enjoy the beautiful landscape, tasty Karelian pasties and the company of many, many lovely animals living their best life at the farm. Our warmest thanks to Leskelanmummonhevospiha for hosting our group from UEF Summer School 2022!

Welcome to the University of Eastern Finland’s Summer School on 8–19 August 2022 in Joensuu, Finland!

The application period for the UEF Summer School has started, and the rolling application period runs until 15 June 2022. However, please note that some courses have earlier or later deadlines.

UEF Summer School courses in 2022:

• Digital Fabrication and Making in Education - Tools and Pedagogical Perspectives, 5 ECTS
• Education in Diverse Cultures, 5 ECTS
• Environmental Collaboration and Conflict Resolution, 5 ECTS
• Food Law and Policy, 5 ECTS
• Glasses for optical fibres and other applications, 2 ECTS
• Learning Analytics, 5 ECTS

UEF Summer School will be much more than studying. What an excellent opportunity to experience an innovative learning environment and typical Finnish summer activities while creating new networks with students from all over the world!

CANCELLED 9.-20.8.2021
The pandemic is unfortunately still going strong in the world, and we can’t say for sure that we could run Summer School normally in August 2021 without quarantines and/or obligatory/expensive corona tests and other safety measurements. Since health and safety is our main priority, UEF has decided to cancel the UEF Summer School 2021. We are looking forward to coming back again in August 2022, wish to meet you here then!
