Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) was honoured to participate in Minister of Science and Culture Mari-Leena Talvitie’s delegation visit to Beijing and Shanghai.
The programme, hosted in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland in Beijing and the Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai, brought together Finnish and Chinese higher education institutions, education companies and other key stakeholders. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and creating new opportunities between Finland and China.
The KAMK delegation was led by President and CEO Matti Sarén, accompanied by Head of International Education and Business Dili Bolati and KAMK’s local representatives in China.
During the visit, KAMK signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Harbin Sport University and initiated new dialogues with several Chinese higher education institutions while strengthening existing partnerships.
“China continues to attract global attention through its rapid development in technology, education and many other fields. KAMK aims to become an increasingly internationally recognised university of applied sciences, and building strong, long-term partnerships in China is one of the important steps towards that goal,” says Matti Sarén, President and CEO of KAMK.
We look forward to turning these new connections into meaningful and sustainable cooperation.
