Meet Gabriel, a member of GTE’s Student Support Staff, who uses his passion for drawing and history to prepare daily whiteboards in the student lounge! 🎨

Every day, the whiteboard is decorated in sections: a celebrity birthday, “bird of the day”, “national [blank]” day, and “today in history”. Gabriel completes his designs in around 20 minutes, showing off his talents. On the side, he also includes a “Would You Rather?” board, in which the students of GTE can vote and show their preferences. When asked what sections he’d like to add to his daily ritual, he suggested a “French word of the day”.

Gabriel’s daily whiteboards and questions are well loved, appreciated, and anticipated by students, staff, and faculty, and we’re extremely lucky to have creative and hardworking people like Gabriel in our community!

Join French and U.S. American researchers, innovators, and students in Atlanta on Oct. 19 for the 3rd France-Atlanta Science & Innovation Summit, a day dedicated to strengthening transatlantic collaboration in science and innovation! 🇺🇸🔬🇫🇷

The summit will feature international keynote speakers, seminars focused on neuroscience, neurotechnology, and space/aerospace, an entrepreneurial innovation panel, and a scientific poster competition for young researchers. A seasonal update from us 🍁🇫🇷

As France embraces la rentrée, the annual return of schools, workplaces, and cultural life after summer, we are welcoming a record number of students to Metz and expanding opportunities for global learning.

This fall, 276 students have begun their academic journey at GTE, including significant growth in both undergraduate enrollment and the First-Year Semester Abroad program. From community-focused sustainability projects and immersive French language study to dual-degree pathways that bridge Europe and Atlanta, students are engaging with new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
