From “why not?” to behind the lens 📸✨

Styling Day gave students the opportunity to experience a real fashion production, where designers, stylists, photographers and makeup artists collaborate on a full editorial shoot.

As a photographer, Antonia joined the set after submitting her portfolio and being selected and paired with a designer. On set, she captured the looks while adapting to a fast-moving creative environment and learning to work with the whole team 🎬

A real hands-on experience where everything starts to flow once the shoot begins.

Le IFA Styling Day a permis aux étudiants de vivre une vraie production mode où designers, stylistes, photographes et maquilleurs collaborent sur un shooting éditorial complet.
En tant que photographe, Antonia a rejoint le set après avoir envoyé son portfolio, été sélectionnée et associée à une designeuse. Sur le terrain, elle a capté les looks tout en s’adaptant au rythme du shooting et au travail d’équipe 🎬

Une vraie expérience terrain où tout commence à se fluidifier une fois le shoot lancé.

From mountain curves to siren energy 🧜‍♀️✨

Styling Day gave students the opportunity to experience a real fashion production, where designers and models collaborate to bring a full creative vision to life.

As part of the shoot, Sachi worked as a model alongside designer Sarah, whose collection was inspired by nature, Dior’s New Look silhouette and organic curves from mountains to corsetry 🎬

From concept to hair, makeup and styling, everything was built as one cohesive creative direction.

Des courbes de la montagne à une énergie de sirène 🧜‍♀️✨

Le Styling Day de IFA Paris a permis aux étudiants de vivre une vraie production mode où designers et mannequins collaborent pour donner vie à une vision créative complète.

Sur ce shooting, Sachi a posé en tant que mannequin aux côtés de la designeuse Sarah, dont la collection s’inspire de la nature, du New Look de Dior et de formes organiques entre montagnes et corseterie 🎬

Du concept aux cheveux, au maquillage et au styling, tout a été pensé comme une direction artistique cohérente.

Styling Day gave the students an opportunity to experience a real fashion production, where Hair & Makeup plays a key role in bringing every look to life.

As part of the Hair & Makeup team, Paradee and Balo were responsible for creating different looks while adapting to timing, teamwork and creative direction on set 🎬

The goal: enhance each outfit while respecting the designer’s vision and energy!

Au sein de l’équipe Hair & Makeup, Paradee et Balo étaient en charge de réaliser des looks différents, tout en s’adaptant au timing, au travail d’équipe et à la direction créative 🎬

What happens when creativity meets constraint?

Our 1st year Fashion Design students were challenged to create garments using unconventional and discarded materials.
Through experimentation, material manipulation and innovative making techniques, they pushed the boundaries of traditional fashion design, discovering new ways to transform everyday waste into expressive fashion pieces.
More than a sustainability exercise, this project encouraged students to rethink materials, challenge established creative processes and explore how innovation can emerge from limitation.

Que se passe-t-il lorsque la créativité rencontre la contrainte ?

Nos étudiants en 1ère année de Fashion Design ont relevé le défi de créer des vêtements à partir de matériaux inattendus et destinés à être jetés.
À travers l’expérimentation, la transformation de la matière et le développement de techniques de fabrication innovantes, ils ont repoussé les limites de la création vestimentaire traditionnelle pour donner une nouvelle vie à des matériaux du quotidien.
Bien plus qu’un exercice autour de la durabilité, ce projet les a invités à questionner notre rapport aux matériaux, à explorer de nouvelles approches créatives et à démontrer que l’innovation naît souvent de la contrainte.

Styling Day gave students the opportunity to experience a real fashion production, where collaboration is everything from start to finish.
As Lead Event Coordinator, Noah was responsible for making sure every department worked together smoothly : PR, marketing, set design, stylists, and all creative talents including models, designers, photographers and Hair & Makeup Artists  ✨

From deadlines to coordination, the challenge was keeping a huge creative team aligned and moving in the same direction.

What happens to the things we throw away?

For this group project, our 1st Year Fashion Design students explored the relationship between consumption, memory and waste. Using recycled materials such as paper and plastic, they imagined a collection that follows the different stages of life -from childhood to old age- and reflects on how our habits, objects and waste accumulate over time.

Through research, experimentation and garment development, they transformed discarded materials into fashion pieces that tell a story and invite us to rethink the impact we leave behind.

Que deviennent les objets que nous jetons ?

Pour ce projet de groupe, nos étudiants en 1ere Année de Fashion Design ont exploré les liens entre consommation, mémoire et déchets. À partir de matériaux recyclés comme le papier et le plastique, ils ont imaginé une collection retraçant les différentes étapes de la vie -de l’enfance à la vieillesse- tout en questionnant l’accumulation de nos objets et de nos déchets au fil du temps.

À travers la recherche, l’expérimentation et la création de silhouettes, ils ont transformé des matériaux destinés à être jetés en pièces de mode porteuses de sens, invitant chacun à réfléchir à l’empreinte qu’il laisse derrière lui.

Styling Day gave students the opportunity to experience a real fashion production, where nothing ever goes exactly as planned.

As part of the production team, Gabi, Clara, Paige and Andy took on different roles across makeup & hair, styling vision, photography direction and overall coordination to keep everything running on set ✨

From last-minute set design to fabrics, moodboards and quick decisions, they helped bring the creative chaos together.

Au sein de l’équipe production, Gabi, Clara, Paige et Andy ont occupé différents rôles entre maquillage & hair, vision styling, direction photo et coordination générale pour faire tourner le set ✨

Entre scénographie de dernière minute, tissus, moodboards et décisions rapides, ils ont donné forme au chaos créatif.

As part of the Casting Director team, Moya, Chitna, Chris Lee and Shana were in charge of reviewing applications, organizing fittings and selecting the talents who helped bring the entire event to life ✨
