Let’s talk about youth engagement in international agri-food cooperation! 🌱🌍

SPNU Goes Global is happy to share our interview with Lorenzo Janicot, Co-founder of the World Food Forum (WFF) Youth French Chapter, conducted by Francesca Pastorelli, our Global Events Officer.

At a time when multilateral cooperation is facing growing challenges, agri-food systems stand at the intersection of some of the most pressing issues of our time. Against this backdrop, creating spaces where young people can engage, exchange ideas and contribute to international cooperation is more important than ever.

As we look ahead to the World Food Forum’s flagship event, taking place this October at FAO Headquarters in Rome, we sat down with Lorenzo to explore what led to the creation of the WFF Youth French Chapter, the mission behind it, and how its members are working to bring together an increasingly diverse community of young professionals, students, farmers and anyone interested in shaping the future of agri-food systems.

What does meaningful youth engagement in agri-food cooperation look like? And how can young people turn dialogue into action?

🇦🇲 On Friday, October 9, SPNU was honoured to be welcomed by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Paris.

H.E. Mr Arman Khachatryan offered an overview of Armenia’s strategic position in the South Caucasus and of the regional context the country navigates, as well as the role played by international partners.

Key topics included:
🔹 the humanitarian efforts to support and integrate forcibly displaced Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh
🔹 Armenia’s foreign policy balance between long-standing partnerships and its deepening ties with the European Union
🔹 EU support to Armenia, from monitoring missions to trade assistance
🔹 the strong bilateral partnership between Armenia and France

The student Q&A session then touched on national identity, foreign policy choices and the Ambassador’s experience in diplomacy.
