Our Events Management students have raised almost £4,000 for local charities while gaining hands-on experience delivering large-scale events through the University’s Live Client Project module.

From The Makers Exchange supporting Erskine Veterans Charity to Blooms and Bites Family Fun Day supporting Rainbow Rogues, students put their event planning, marketing, fundraising and stakeholder management skills into practice.

With the module generating more than £150,000 for charities over the past decade, it’s a great example of work-integrated learning in action.

Congratulations to James Brogan, our Principal Lecturer in Paramedicine at RGU, who has been appointed Consultant Editor of the Journal of Paramedic Practice.

Having supported the journal for many years as an author and reviewer, James will now help shape its future while contributing to the continued development of the paramedic profession. His first editorial, Talking Trajectories, explores the evolving role of paramedics and the future direction of the profession.

Gray's School of Art Master's Degree Show 2026

27 postgraduate artists, designers and makers are ready to share where their creative practices are taking them next.

This September, Gray’s Master’s Degree Show brings together new work across Fine Art, Fashion and Textile Design, Communication Design, Product, Ceramics and Jewellery.

Through painting, sculpture, textiles, design and making, students explore community, identity, memory, care and social connection. Many are already exhibiting nationally, securing commissions, developing independent practices and leading projects with communities.

Come and experience the ideas, materials and questions shaping their work.

We welcomed students from Japan to campus today for the ninth Nippon Foundation Summer School.

The three-week programme brings together engineering students from across Japan to study marine engineering and energy topics at RGU, alongside industry site visits, cultural experiences, and opportunities to work with RGU academics and industry experts.

Their first day began with a uniquely Scottish welcome, including bagpipes, traditional Aberdeen rowies and the opportunity to meet our French ENI Ecole Informatique students who joined us on campus a couple of weeks ago.

The programme concludes on 4 September, when students will showcase their projects and celebrate their achievements at a graduation ceremony.

We hope they have a memorable time at RGU, enjoy exploring all that Aberdeen has to offer, and make the most of their programme.
