Aberystwyth University Law Society (AULS) is here for you; the students. We are the largest society in the University and are one of the most productive with so much being organised by us. We are open to all students and wish to help you have fun and meet new friends whilst also providing advantages in your academic and future careers. We organise fantastic socials, trips to law fayres (which are

extremely useful for potential lawyers), an annual European Trip and, of course, our brilliant annual Law Ball. Membership is £7 and grants you the chance to participate in all of the wonderful things we organise and the opportunity to spend some quality time with like-minded people, be it on our fortnightly socials in Aberystwyth town, our cheese and wine nights, our trips within the UK and abroad or even if you just want to come and talk to a friendly face about anything.

The 125th Anniversary of the Law and Criminology department event hosted in Cardiff on Wednesday the 3rd of June was such an important event for helping bridge the gap between the amazing alumni and current students. The students that were invited to the event were engaged student of the department and university, this invite gave them a foot in the door that may prove hard for others. Which highlights the importance of being engaged and how interacting with us and the law and criminology department can prove to be beneficial for students future careers. The law society met some wonderful people and found out just how impressive the department staffs careers have been. Thank you for the invitation and the wonderful evening (with the free wine) 🫶

Back in March, we organised a Meet the Employers Evening for students to hear from a range of individuals in multiple fields in law and criminology, and to get some advice on applications. Due to a miscommunication, we've had to switch to a buffet menu to keep our original date. On the bright side, ticket prices are now lower. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
