Behind the Scenes at Garden Show Ireland 🌿

CAFRE students played a key role in bringing our show garden to life, with hands-on involvement from many students including Horticulture students Beverly D***s (Level 3) and Nathan Hamilton (Level 2).

A standout feature of the garden was the bug hotel 🐞—a structure that supports wildlife and encourages biodiversity. These habitats provide shelter for insects such as pollinators and beneficial species, helping to create a healthier, more balanced ecosystem. This feature will now be relocated to the Nature Trail at Greenmount Campus, where it will continue to promote biodiversity.

🌱 A brilliant example of student skill, creativity, and commitment to sustainable landscaping!

Applications are still open for our Level 2 and Level 3 horticulture courses, with both part-time and full-time options available. Whether you’re exploring your next step after GCSEs or considering a change in career, there’s a route to suit you.
